Petz are creatures that appear in World of JumpStart and related games. Their main function in games is usually to be cared for by the players.

General Traits of Petz

Petz are small creatures. The majority of Petz are based on animals, but there are some non-animal species as well. Many Petz' torsos are rounded on the bottom, and lack legs or feet.

Each Pet has its own name and species. Many Petz' species names appear as [Adjective] [Noun], for example, "Mischievous Monkey" and "Snowy Seal".

In Games

JumpStart Pet Rescue

Players find hidden Petz by completing missions. Once they have found a Pet, they can care for it and teach it tricks.

World of JumpStart

Players can purchase Petz from the Petz Shop. The Petz that the Petz Shop offers changes about monthly with the seasons/holidays celebrated in the game.

A player can pick one of their Petz to follow their Jumpee around, and click on that Pet to see it do something. When Petz are not out with their owners, they are taken care of at the Petz Pen in DownTown. A player's inventory of Petz can be accessed at the Petz Pen as well.

Eat My Dust

Several of the player models are Petz.

JumpStart Academy Preschool/Kindergarten

Petz appear as trophies that the player can collect for completing achievements. They can be looked at close up when viewing trophies, but can't be interacted with beyond that.
