Jazzpunk is a comedic adventure video game developed by Necrophone Games and published by Adult Swim Games. The original version was released on February 7, 2014 for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. With an extended version, Jazzpunk: Director's Cut, being released the September 4, 2016 on the same platforms plus Playstation 4.
Plot
This game is centered around the journey of a secret agent named Polyblank in an alternate Cold War world in the late 1950s. He is transported into Nexus 6, a secret agency housed in an abandoned subway station, by using a human-shaped suitcase. There he meets with The Director, who gives him a series of missions, such as to infiltrate and recover a data cartridge from the Soviet Consulate, extract The Cowboy's very valuable artificial kidney, and to go on vacation to Kai Tak Resort. Additional missions (which are not given by The Director at the office) are swapping suitcases with The Editor at Kai Tak Resort (given by The Director via phone call at Polyblank's room), escaping the Wetworks ("mission" given by the Man in the Rear Pool to escape the simulation), to beat The Editor at his own game, at the Bachelor Pad (as a rescue mission), and finally, to traverse The Director's intestinal tract post-getting swallowed.
Gameplay

Jazzpunk is a single-player, first-person adventure game, focusing on exploration and comedy, with some light puzzle-solving. Each mission has a main objective, but there are a huge number of secrets, side quests, interactive conversations, and mini games provided by the NPCs, that can be explored.
The controls of this game are simple, using the keyboard for basic movement, jumping, cycling through the player's inventory, and interacting with some objects; while the mouse is used to look around and, in turn, to interact with some objects.
While there aren't achievements in the game itself, there are 24 Steam Achievements that can be acquired by players who bought this game from the steam store.

Trivia
- The name Jazzpunk is a portmanteau of jazz and cyberpunk.[2]
- In early Necrophone Games blog posts[3] and interviews[4] or articles about the game, Jazzpunk was also written as JAZZPUNK, JazzPunk, and Jazz Punk.
- The font used for Jazzpunk's dialogue is called Jazzpunk Display in the files. The font itself bares striking resemblance to the font Neutra Display. The Neutraface typeface family was named in honor of Richard Neutra, a notable modernist architect active throughout the 1900's. Jazzpunk's visual aesthetic pays heavy homage to modernist architecture.
