Kai Tak Resort is a vacation location where Polyblank is sent after the attention brought on in Ikayaki Alley. It features a restaurant, pools, and a large beach. Notably, this chapter introduces the Editor.
Description
Polyblank arrives in front of the reception area, behind which is a large dining room. Behind this building is a cut of grass and, beyond that, a river. A large 4-story hotel sits to the left. The rooms can be explored after obtaining a master card, but the interiors appear in a set order, so it doesn't matter which rooms are entered.
There are two pools, although the rear one is nonfunctional and inhabited. Beyond the road is a fairly large beach.
Main Story
After stealing the Cowboy's artificial kidney drew negative attention, the Director sends Polyblank here on vacation. Nearly the whole area is free to explore from the start, except for the rear pool. After signing in and going to the hotel room, the Director calls and informs that "a syndicate man" is in the area.
The vacation is cut short, as now Polyblank has to sabotage the Editor's plans. While sitting with him, a waiter gives Polyblank a drink, bought for by the Lady in Red. At first, all seems fine, but when Polyblank gets up to leave, it's revealed the drink was laced, and he's knocked out with a saxophone on his way out the bar. Finally, he blacks out to the sight of the Editor and Lady in Red leaning over him.
The Polyblank wakes up in a dentist's chair in the hotel room beside his, revealing the Editor had been spying in on him. Before leaving, a note slides through the door, asking to meet up in the rear pool.
Once arriving, a man living in the rear pool explains how the world is actually a simulation, and how he knows a way out. He says that the Mechanical Pig must be cooked in order to escape the simulation. Doing this unveils the entrance to the Wetworks.
Nighttime

After Polyblank wakes up post-kidnapping, it has turned to night. Here, the maintenance blocking off the rear pool is removed. Staff and tourists are moved, with most wearing tiki masks holding flashlights. Most gather in a circle, while others are more spread out.
Inhabitants
Being a resort, there are all sorts of staff around the area, ranging from people controlling the elevator to bartenders. Interestingly, a large portion of the staff appear to be cyborgs, having a cybernetic eye. A bellhop on the 4th hotel floor has a master card, which can be stolen, allowing access to the rest of the hotel rooms.
There are also tourists, mostly in or around the beach. Most of them can be spoken to and some have requests, such as a women asking if there's a spider on her shoulder and then asking Polyblank to get it off.
The mechanical pig aimlessly wheels around the front of the sign-in building. Before being told to cook it, it cannot be interacted with.
At night, various tourists and staff wear masks and hold flashlights, which they turn on horror-movie-style when Polyblank draws near. They're primarily huddled together in front of the sign-in building, but some linger further away.
Side Content
A box of Joe's ThinkPizza sits on one of the chairs in the front pool, while the beach and the bar have a Wedding Cake mini-game. The beach also has a metal detecting side quest, revealing things hidden in the sand (usually references to other franchises).
Between the check-in and hotel buildings are two people, who Polyblank can supposedly dimension-hop with. Every time, one man remarks how alien the world is and how he can't read the language on the newspapers, although every time they appear in a different spot in the resort.
With the master card, every hotel room can be entered, although the interiors are dependent on how many doors are opened each time. One contains Milktruck. After a certain number of rooms are opened, hotel staff appear, disintegrating the card.
Many of the NPCs can be talked to and interacted with, making Kai Tak Resort one of the most content-filled chapters.
