Media needed: Images of the new Uzi.

The Uzi is an extremely fast-firing and powerful sub-machine gun that is very effective at close and medium ranges. A synergetic weapon with the combination of the Rifle and the AK-47. The Uzi is available in the Rising City Gun Shop, Crater City Gun Shop, Mountainside Town Gun Shop, Prison Gun Shop and the Military Base War Room. It costs 25,000, making it the second most expensive gun in the game, added in the Fire Update.

Overview and Strategy

The Uzi is a somewhat unpopular choice among the players, featuring high fire rate of 720 RPM, tied with the Rifle and the Plasma Pistol, a bullet damage of 7, being slightly higher than the AK-47, a 15 bullet magazine, and fast reload time. It takes an entire magazine to fully kill a target.

These incredible stats are balanced with higher recoil, being similiar to the Plasma Pistol, making it somewhat uncontrollable when hip-firing. Despite its higher recoil, it can be negated significantly by aiming down sights by pressing either Q or Mouse Right Click. The Uzi also has slightly more bullet drop than the AK-47, but it's bullet velocity is the same.

It's main seen utility of this weapon is the combo and finishing potential. 15 rounds of the Uzi are emptied out very quickly, this means that if the player ran out of bullets for their primary weapon, they can quickly switch to the Uzi to finish them off very quickly. Works best when paired with the Revolver, the Pistol or the Shotgun.

Landing a Flintlock shot onto a target and quickly mag-dumping it with the Uzi allows for an easy kill. Can be enhanced with the Sniper Rifle or the Rocket Launcher.

The Uzi on its own can be considered as a primary aswell, its stats are great for being a light-automatic weapon, even with the recoil. Thanks to its fast reload speed, and the quick fire rate alongside high damage, the Uzi is a force to be reckoned with at close quarter fights. If the player has good aim and tracking, the Uzi can be great as a medium distance weapon aswell, even with the apparent bullet drop and the bullet velocity.

For Criminals, the handy Uzi is a great weapon to carry around. Spraying down Cops and finishing them off is as easy as to hold Left Click and let it bang.

For Cops, the quick damage output in a single mag allows the Cop to empty a mag into a Criminal, and slow them down majorly down to few health points. The Uzi is also decent for shooting down vehicles, dealing 7 vehicle-damage.

"Why should I be using an Uzi?"

  • The Uzi is one of the best finishing weapons available, being able to spray down an injured target quickly.
  • Works great with combos when used alongside weapons like the Flintlock or the Shotgun.
  • Can be overall used as a primary gun aswell, thanks to its high damage, high fire rate and fast reload speed.

Trivia

  • The first Uzi submachine gun was designed by Major Uziel Gal in the late 1940s and has found use as a personal defense weapon by rear-echelon troops, officers, artillery troops and tankers, as well as a frontline weapon by elite light infantry assault forces.
    • This gun is actually based of the civilian variant of the Uzi, only being compatible with 15 or 20 round magazines.
  • The remodel of the Uzi in-game seems to be black colored, unlike the ones in the teaser.
  • The reload sound effect for this gun and the AK47/Rifle are the same, except the Uzi's sound effect is sped up.
  • The Uzi in the glass casings used to have a special glow effect in both Gun Shops. This was most likely to signify that it was new. The effect has been removed as of the Season 2 Update.
  • Similar to the Rifle and AK-47, there is no visible telescoping bolt on the weapon when equipped or dropped on the floor.
    • Realistically, the weapon would not be able to chamber a round and thus be unusable. On top of that, there is no trigger on the Uzi, making it so that the weapon realistically cannot be fired.
    • However the Uzi's icon and the Gun Rack wall furniture still retains the telescoping bolt, while the in-game model doesn't.
  • While it was in its glass case in both Gun Shops, the gun is tilted at a 45-degree angle, while all the other guns are positioned straight.
  • When Badimo posted the tweet revealing the Uzi, it was said to be a Micro Uzi, but the model appears to be a regular Uzi.
  • Originally, the Uzi did 9 damage, but was nerfed to 7 sometime in 2019.
    • It was nerfed again down to 6 in the Fall 2020 Update.
    • It was then buffed in the Season 20 Update.
  • The remodeled version of the Uzi suggests that it was equipped with a muzzle attachment though, however, no changes is shown.
  • The Uzi had the fastest reload time of any gun in the game.
    • However, in the Memes update, its reload speed was cut in half. because of spammers.
  • Ironically, despite having a low-cost due to its stamped steel design, it is one of the more costly guns.
