The Radio is a feature which lets players passively play music. It can be accessed by pressing "R" anywhere at anytime, except for when holding a weapon. The radio will continue playing after the driver leaves their vehicle if turned on in a vehicle, but can't be heard by other players.

Players who own the Vehicle Stereo Gamepass also unlock a Radio furniture item to place in their Dream Homes (formerly Houses & Apartments) to play music.

There are currently four radio stations: Lawn Reality, Heist Station, Classical, and Custom. The first three listed are free and can be played by any user. The Custom station requires the Vehicle Stereo Gamepass and can play any audio ID available in the Roblox Creator Marketplace. In addition to stations, there is an option to pause music, modify its volume, and/or modify its bass.

The old Radio functioned similarly. However, it had no stations, only had a bass slider, had no pause option, only play one audio, and cannot save multiple audios. The radio would not follow players outside of a vehicle, so the audio would play on loop in empty vehicles.

Trivia

• The Radio was updated in the Blade Update to include 3 free radio stations as well as a GUI overhaul.
• Music played by users outside of a vehicle cannot be heard by other players.
• Currently, no aquatic vehicles or planes can use the Vehicle Stereo Gamepass.
• If a song ends, a random one from the same station will play. There is no way to stop this.
• When the new Radio was released, the GUI would've opened when pressing R at anytime, which is also the same button to reload a weapon. While reloading a gun, the Radio GUI would pop up, obscuring a player's vision in a gunfight.
  • This was patched in the miscellaneous update on August 23, 2020, where pressing "R" while holding a weapon will not make the radio appear.
• There was no way to mute heist music while playing the radio without muting them both.
  • In the miscellaneous update on August 23, 2020, Badimo added an option to mute the Heist Music and Other users' radio.
• The Custom Station will sometimes not save audio IDs you have entered.
• Some radio station audios are from real-life.
• The music in the "Heist Station" includes the heist soundtracks of multiple heists in Jailbreak.
  • Both banks, the Bank Truck, Tomb and Crown Jewel are the only heists to not have their heist music included in the Heist Station.
    • Because of the Cargo Ship music being copyrighted and removed it also does not appear.
• The Lawn Reality Station's Safehouse audio is from Badimo's former game called Volt, which was where the Volt came from.
  • The Lawn Reality Station is made by the Twitter user Lawn Reality himself.
    • Tracks made by Lawn Reality could be heard during the 2022 Live Event, across the game and even in the Trading Island.
• In the Classical radio station, the Mozart - Serenade No. 5 audio was removed, possibly due to copyright reasons.
• Before the Homes and Apartments update, apartment owners with the VIP Gamepass could've placed a radio in their apartment and play music, but this was removed when homes and apartments were revamped and recoded.
  • As of the Meme Season update, the radio returned, exclusive for VIP owners.
• In the heist station, the Power Plant music is featured twice. Also the Cargo Ship's old music was privated and not replaced.
• The numbers on the bottom of the icons have frequencies, similar to real life radio stations, usually FM radio stations.
  • However, the Heist Radio Station seems to have letters and symbols instead of numbers, which is unusual.
• When using the VIP Radio inside a Dream Home, your screen will move to the beat of the music.
