Summary
Inuyasha uses the Wind Scar on Mōryōmaru, but the demon just scoffs and says such an attack no longer works on his impenetrable shell. Kinka and Ginka awaken from the sound of the attack and demand to know who is attacking their home. Inuyasha tells the duo to run away, which confuses them. Kanna tells Mōryōmaru not to let them get away. The armored Yōkai tries to go after the demon duo but Inuyasha interferes with his Dragon-Scaled Tessaiga, striking at Mōryōmaru's armored shell, and demonic energy begins flowing out of him. Mōryōmaru, shocked, wonders what's going on, as Inuyasha wasn't this powerful the last time they fought, and Inuyasha was hit with a backlash of energy. He hadn't mastered the technique.
Kanna explains that Naraku has helped Inuyasha strengthen his blade, and Mōryōmaru grumbles, "Naraku... you would aid Inuyasha? You want to take me down that badly?" Mōryōmaru's tentacles pierce into Kinka and Ginka's flesh, and their blood soaks Mōryōmaru's shell. Then, Inuyasha's blade begins to be pushed back; the blood has healed the cracks in Mōryōmaru's armor. Kagome realizes that's the power that binds them together. Mōryōmaru smugly says that if just bathing in their blood gives his shell such power, imagine how powerful he would be if he devoured them outright; he says he would be invincible even against Inuyasha's Dragon-Scaled Tessaiga. Kinka and Ginka both attack Mōryōmaru, refusing to be killed.
Inuyasha cuts another one of Mōryōmaru's tentacles and tells the demon brothers to escape. Mōryōmaru shoves Inuyasha to the ground and flies up toward Kinka and Ginka, who begin fighting each other once again. Mōryōmaru shoots out diamond spears from his arm, to Sango and Miroku's horror, realizing it's the Kongōsōha technique he stole from Inuyasha. Miroku sucks the diamond spears into his Wind Tunnel to save the demon brothers, but Saimyōshō appear so he stops, fearing the poison. Both Mōryōmaru and Inuyasha's group wonder what that means; does Naraku want to help Mōryōmaru absorb Kinka and Ginka? Inuyasha wonders what Naraku is scheming.
