- According to Fenoglio, he wrote an unpublished draft about the adult version of the character, whose wife came from a faraway land and inspired him to invent creations with technology that had yet to exist in Inkworld. Based on observing the interactions between Meggie and Doria, Fenoglio hinted he strongly believed the wife would eventually be Meggie.
- If Doria do in fact become a part of the Folchart family, the family will consequently have additional known relatives, mainly Lazaro and Susa.
