Cholly was a chalicothere.
Biography
Cholly was so tied to the foods he ate that he needed to continuously eat or he would become so slow that he could hardly move at all. Eating apples, Cholly eventually suffered from chronic and extremely unpleasant flatulence from his posterior, blaming it on his stomach, which he remarked that it hated him. His flatulence was mistaken by a mammoth named Manny for a mammoth call, and as the mammoth and his friends ran closer, they saw that it was only Cholly, who was sitting on a log and mistakenly let his gases flow directly from his buttocks into the ground sloth Sid's face.

Further on, Cholly aided Scrat in getting from place to place by means of his flatus, though Scrat had to earn the favor by giving Cholly apples to eat. It is certain that Cholly managed to escape the flooding waters with the other animals in time.
Traits
A large chalicothere, Cholly sported sharp claws and long, grasping arms, along with a thick body, elongated, thick neck, horselike head and short legs, coated all in light tan and dark brown fur.
Cholly suffered from flatulence and apologized for it to other animals that came close to him.
Appearances
- Ice Age: The Meltdown (First appearance)
Behind the Scenes
Cholly only appeared in Ice Age: The Meltdown, but another Chalicothere appeared in Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade and was referred to as "Cholly Bear". Unlike Cholly who was played by voice actor Alan Tudyk with a slow, deep voice, Cholly Bear was voiced by Enrique Iglesias with a fast, high-pitched voice.
