Alan Tudyk, born in El Paso, Texas, is an actor. He voices the scimitar cat Lenny, a macrauchenia, and a dodo in the first Ice Age film, the chalicothere Cholly in Ice Age: The Meltdown, and Milton and a sloth siren in Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Son of Betty Loyce (née Wiley) and Timothy Nicholas Tudyk, Tudyk is of some Polish ancestry. Raised in Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, Tudyk attended Plano Senior High School and went on to study drama at Methodist-associated Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas: while there, Tudyk earned the Academic Academic Excellence award for drama and portrayed Beaver Smith in an east New Mexico summer stock theatre production of Billy the Kid. In time, Tudyk attended Juilliard and left in 1996 before he earned a degree.
