Dropper is an Arcade game where players fall and dodge obstacles to try to get to the bottom of a map as fast as possible. The game is Hypixel's spin on the classic Minecraft "dropper" maps and gamemode. Dropper was created for a Admin Game Jam in October 2021[3][4] and was released to the Prototype Lobby on July 25, 2022.[1] The game was officially released to Arcade on September 14, 2023.[2]
Voting
Before the game begins, players are placed in one of four lobby rooms. Each room type corresponds to a different "map pack" which determines the maps that are available to be chosen in that game. Players can vote for three maps that they want to play on using the name tag in their hotbar or /vote. Any selection of maps can be chosen, not just one of each difficulty.
Gameplay
Players attempt to complete five dropper maps—two easy, two medium, and one hard—in 10 minutes. A pool of water is at the bottom of each map to land in as well as a portal that players enter to progress.
Once the first player finishes all five maps, the total time is reduced to two minutes. If 5 players finish, the time is reduced to 30 seconds.

Skips
If you can't complete an easy or medium level difficulty map after failing 15 times or within two minutes, a gold ingot appears in your hotbar which you can click to skip the map.
Maps
There are a total of 62 maps, with 60 currently being available to play: 24 easy, 24 medium, and 12 hard. There are always 6 easy maps, 6 medium maps and 3 hard maps per map pack. In the v1.0 release of dropper, the maps "Toilet" and "Plughole" were removed.
