Horizon Forbidden West
As Kalae gained a chance to join the Chorus, she left to undertake the Rite of Discovery, but she never returned. Some went to investigate, but only found her weapon by the river, coming to the conclusion that she fell into the river and passed. Bree begged the Chorus to continue searching for his wife so that he could recover her seed pouch and plant the seeds in Plainsong.[2] Though the Chorus members believed Kalae's seed pouch to be lost, Aloy volunteered to look for it.[3]

When she returned, Aloy not only had Kalae's seed pouch, but also the seed pouch of the woman who murdered her. Fane identified the killer's seed pouch as belonging to Lyna, Kel's apprentice. Kel had left to go to her childhood home of Summerwind, prompting Aloy to chase her down. By the time Bree and Fane caught up, Kel had already committed suicide. While Bree was frustrated that Kel could not stand trial for her crimes, he was grateful to have closure.[3]
Bree planted Kalae's Honeyleaf seeds in a basket in Plainsong, greeting Aloy as she approached. While he misses his wife dearly, he vows to keep pushing for change, as she would've.[4] As time goes on, the seeds bloom into yellow flowers.
