Yūta Fukui (福井雄太, Fukui Yūta), more commonly known as Fuku (フク), is a character in Hikaru no Go. He is an Insei and one of Hikaru Shindo's friends.
Appearance
Fuku has slightly messy black hair. He looks cheerful most of the time.
Personality
Fuku is easy-going and wasn't afraid of expressing his loss.

Internet Go Arc
He and other insei wonder why Akira skipped his pro exam match.
Insei Arc
He befriends Hikaru and they often play together.
Pro Exam Arc
During the pro exams, Fukui lags behind the forerunners and eventually fails. He beat Hikaru and Isumi, but only because they were mentally distracted.
Go
Fuku's Go is very fast-paced. Despite that, he was strong as even Waya and Komiya has problems with defeating him, even though others like Isumi did not have any trouble beating him.
Relationships
Hikaru Shindo
Shindou and Fuku relationship seems to be quite good especially as playmates for Go. As they both like to play fast-paced games. This was observed when they played many times together.
Yoshitaka Waya
Fukui is Waya's Achilles heel, as Waya cannot ever beat him.
Shinichiro Isumi
Isumi is much stronger than Fukui, but loses to him due to his emotional distractions.
Asumi Nase
The two are close friends and have about the same skill level.
