Asumi Nase (奈瀬 明日美, Nase Asumi) is a character in Hikaru no Go. She is the Insei from Class One and a friend of Hikaru Shindo.

Asumi is an average-sized girl with brown eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair.
Personality
Asumi seems to be a caring girl who often acts as older sister to Hikaru Shindo.
History
Plot
Internet Go Arc
Asumi first appears where she and Isumi talk about Akira not attending the first day of the Pro Exam and wonder why he skips the first day.
Insei Arc
She is an A-league insei who befriends Hikaru and frequently trains with him. She also participates in the Young Lions Tournament.
Pro Exam Arc
Asumi participates in the pro exams but midway through she and Ijima realize that they have no chance of passing. Despite this she pulls off a win against Honda.
Go
Asumi is a relatively strong A-league insei, though far behind forerunners such as Hikaru, Ochi, Waya, Isumi, and Honda. She has many losses in the pro exams, but wins against Honda.
Relationships
Hikaru Shindo
She has a sisterly relationship with Hikaru and they study together.
Yuta Fukui
They are insei at about the same skill level.
Ryo Iijima
They are friends and fellow insei.
