Tomo Aizawa is the titular main protagonist of the Japanese anime and manga series Tomo-chan Is A Girl, written by Fumita Yanagida. She is a tomboy who excels in sports and martial arts, and has a crush on her childhood friend Junichirou Kubota, but he remains oblivious to her feelings because he's always seen her as "one of the guys" instead of a woman. Tomo wants nothing more than for Jun to look at her as a woman. She is good friends with Carol Olston and Misuzu Gundou.
She was voiced by Rie Takahashi in Japanese and Lexi Nieto in English and Emi Lo in English as a child.
Appearance
Tomo is a tall, muscular girl, with average sized breasts, a six pack abs, neck length, bright red hair, large, red eyes, pale skin, and red and white tennis shoes. She almost always seen wearing a mix of the boy's and girl's school uniform; a white under shirt, with a red and gray tie over it, and a thin green jacket partially covering it, very short black leggings that come nowhere close to her knees, mostly covered by a short black skirt.
Personality
Tomo is a tomboy, which means that she is quite outspoken, brash, and not girly in the slightest, and can be prone to violence, (and is really good at fighting due to participating in martial arts for many years). This causes many, including her crush, Jun, while knowing that she's a girl, to see her as "one of the guys." Despite this, however, she's always had a massive crush on Jun, and wanted him to see her as a woman instead of a friend. It's not that she's incapable of femininity, because she is. This is seen whenever questions about romance and Jun are presented to her. However, most of the time Jun either isn't around or he just doesn't notice. And for most of the series she finds it difficult to purposefully show this alternate side to him out of embarrassment.
