The Jailer is a minor posthumous character in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. She was the human who masterminded the creation of Aaravos' imprisonament. She was also a mage.
Biography
After fidning out from the Orphan Queen that Aaravos was manipulating people and causing the recent destruction, Avizandum ordered the Jailer to make a prison that was capable of holding Aaravos.
The Jailer would then meet with the ocean archmage Akiyu, who, with her help, was able to create a place capable of holding Aaravos.
After the prison was made, the Jailer told details about its location to the archdragons, but not the location itself, as she wanted to make sure that not even the archdragons were aware of where the prison was located. However, the Jailer found out that Akiyu looked into the location of the prison when making a map, so the Jailer told Akiyu that she needed to be killed.
To avoid dying, Akiyu made a promise to the Jailer that she would die before giving anyone the location of Aaravos' prison, which made the Jailer spare Akiyu. After this incident, any information about Akiyu in literature would disappear, and she exciled herself and changed her name to Tidebound Tina, a nickname that her friends used to call her during Akiyu's childhood.
The Jailer would then imprison Aaravos with the help of the Orphan Queen and an unnamed Tidebound elf, and Aaravos' prison would be watched by Avizandum through a mirror.
