Ruff and Reddy are the lead characters on The Ruff & Reddy Show. Reddy was voiced by Daws Butler, in a characterization Butler would later use for Huckleberry Hound. Ruff was voiced by Don Messick, who also voiced Boo-Boo Bear and Ranger Smith in The Yogi Bear Show.

- Ruff's design is very similar to the earlier version of Boo-Boo Bear.
- Though out The Ruff & Reddy Show came out years before The Yogi Bear Show (or even The Huckleberry Hound Show) came out.
- The Ruff & Reddy Show was the first Hanna-Barbera series to include an anthropomorphic dog and cat pair.
