Foofur is the main protagonist of the 1986 TV show of the same name. He is a blue bloodhound who was taken refuge in a mansion, which is his birthplace.
He is voiced by the legendary Frank Welker, who is known for voicing Scooby-Doo, another cartoon dog created by Hanna-Barbera.
Overview
Foofur lives in a mansion that his human owners once lived in. His group consists of his niece, Rocki, a bulldog named Louis, an Old English Sheepdog named Annabell (who is Louis's girlfriend), a cocker spaniel named Hazel, a miniature schnauzer named Fritz-Carlos (who is Hazel's husband), and a cat named Fencer. He also has a crush on a basset hound named Dolly.
However, Foofur also has a lot of enemies. His two biggest enemies are Amelia Escrow, a woman who is constantly trying to sell the mansion where Foofur and his friends reside, and her pet chihuahua, Pepe, who is always trying to expose their antics. Other enemies include the Rat Brothers, a trio of rats who constantly antagonize Fencer, Mel and Harvey, the Bowser Busters' dog catchers, Vinnie, the leader of a cat gang, and Burt, an Afghan Hound who competes with Foofur for Dolly's affection.
Appearance
Foofur is tall and skinny. Unlike most real-life dogs, he has blue fur.
Personality
Foofur is a kind-hearted individual who doesn't mind sharing his mansion with other dogs and a cat.
