Alya Césaire is one of the deuteragonists of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is a student at Collége Françoise Dupont, the admin of the Ladyblog, the head of the school blog, and Marinette Dupain-Cheng's best friend. In the season 2 episodes Sapotis and Syren, she receives the Fox Miraculous from Ladybug, which, when inhabited by the kwami Trixx, can transform her into Rena Rouge, a fox-themed superhero who has the power to create illusions and aids Ladybug and Cat Noir during certain missions in season 2.
In "Re-creation" after Monarch was defeated, Alya got to resume her role as Rena Rouge, with no need to hide anymore.
In "Hack-San", Alya received the Ladybug Miraculous from Marinette when the latter needed to temporarily leave Paris with her parents to celebrate her aunt's birthday. When Robostus, together with the titular sentimonster, started wreaking havoc, she used the Miraculous, when inhabited by Tikki, to turn into Scarabella, a ladybug/scarab-themed superhero with the power of Creation.
In "Miraculous Paris", after Betterfly kamikotized the Alya Césaire of his universe into Ubiquity, Alya was indirectly kamikotized as well, as Ubiquity's power allowed her to connect herself with any of her counterparts in all the multiverse. Later on, she was rekamikotized by Betterfly into Ubiquity so they could deploy Ladybug's plan to defeat Monarch, Shadybug and Claw Noir, with her transformation being undone by Monarch, with that serving as a ploy to mislead the supervillains about the existence of another kamikotized superhero. After Shadybug and Claw Noir were convinced to become superheroes, Betterfly kamikotized Alya into Ubiquity for the third time to open a portal back to their universe. However, due to Monarch using Sublimation to travel to other universes to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses from other versions of the heroes, Betterfly was forced to dekamikotize her and kamikotize Ladybug instead. She was then kamikotized a fourth time to really open a portal for them.
She is voiced by Fanny Bloc in the French version, and Carrie Keranen, who also voices Mahiru Koizumi, Yamraiha, and Satsuki Kiryūin in the English dub.
Appearance
Alya has tan skin, grayish gold eyes, and red-brown hair that is a lighter shade of red at the tips. There is a beauty mark above her right eyebrow.
She wears a orange, purple, beige and white-striped shirt with a white tank top underneath it, sport blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
As Rena Rouge, the tips of her hair are now white and she has a ponytail. She wears an orange fox-themed superhero jumpsuit with a white front and an orange and white mask. The arms, hands, legs, feet and collar of the suit are black. The Fox Miraculous doubles as a zipper for the collar. She has orange fox ears with white insides on her head, and a coattail that looks like a fox's tail. She carries an orange and white reed flute for a weapon, which she keeps on her back when she's not using it.
As Rena Furtive, Rena Furtive has the same appearance as Rena Rouge expect for having blue hair with her outfit having a blue camouflage print design.
Personality
Alya is very clever, loyal, and supportive towards her friends, like Marinette, whom she often tries to encourage to spend time with her crush, Adrien Agreste. She is a fan of superhero comics, and thus also a fan of Ladybug and Cat Noir, becoming very excited about anything having to do with them and wanting to find out their secret identities.
However, she sometimes goes too far or endangers herself while pursuing information about them, like the time she spied on Chloe's locker in "Lady Wifi". She is also brave, as she is willing to put herself in harm's way to protect other people. She is also shown to be good with children when she babysits her younger sisters and Manon.
As Rena Rouge, she still acts much the same way she does as Alya. She is very excited to be working with the superheroes she admires and sometimes has trouble focusing on the mission as a result.
As Scarabella, she acted like a rookie, stressing over what her superhero name should be and falling into obvious traps. The reason for her behavior stemmed from the pressure of trying to live up to Ladybug's expectations, as well as Cat Noir's, who had a hard time accepting her as a replacement for his everyday partner. After he was able to accept and trust her as a partner, Scarabella's true superhero nature was able to flourish, being able to come up with a plan to defeat Robostus.

In the season finale, Rena Rouge, along with Carapace and Queen Bee, join Ladybug and Cat Noir dealing with Hawk Moth as he carries out his most sinister plan yet with becoming Scarlet Moth after being powered up by the Akumatized supervillain Catalyst, Akumatizing everyone he's turned into a supervillain in the past once more, and not even Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee are immune, as they are also Akumatized into Rena Rage, Shell-shock, and Queen Wasp, putting Ladybug and Cat Noir at a major disadvantage. However, thanks to some ingenuity, Ladybug and Cat Noir destroy Scarlet Moth's cane, reverting the Akumatizations all at once. With Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee back on their side, Ladybug and Cat Noir confront Hawk Moth and prepare to disarm him of the Butterfly Miraculous, but are stopped by a new Peacock Miraculous user, Mayura, who manages to get Hawk Moth to safety, escaping their clutches, and they are unable to pursue when Hawk Moth reverts back to his civilian identity, thus preventing them from tracking him with his broken cane, meaning that Hawk Moth is still able to terrorize Paris, and with Mayura helping him, things got a lot worse for Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee.

Alya continues to aid Marinette and Adrien, both in her civilian identity and as Rena Rouge, against Hawk Moth and Mayura, along with things back in school, especially after Chloe betrays Team Miraculous to aid Hawk Moth when her parents are involved, forcing Ladybug to relieve her of duty as Queen Bee, passing the torch to Chloe's half-sister Zoe as Vesperia instead.

Season 4
Despite Marinette being dubbed the Guardian of the Miracle Box by Master Fu, entrusting her with the protection of all the Miraculous not in Hawk Moth's possession, Alya cannot maintain her duty as Rena Rouge once her civilian identity was known to Hawk Moth, as he could use it to blackmail her into surrendering the Fox Miraculous to him to protect her family or friends from being turned into Akumatized supervillains. This came after she had been made the permanent bearer of the Fox Miraculous by Ladybug/Marinette to help her in her battles with Shadow Moth, along with temporarily giving other Miraculous to their other classmates, like Luka, Juleka, Mylene, Sabrina, Ivan, Kim, Marc, and Nathaniel.
Before she becomes Rena Rouge full-time, in "Gang of Secrets", Alya, joined by Rose, Juleka, Mylene, and Alix, try to talk to Marinette regarding her highly-emotional state lately. Marinette was stressed out by several things at the time, including her new duty as Guardian of the Miracle Box by Master Fu, Luka breaking up with her, and still haunted by the bad future she was shown in "Cat Blanc". When she catches the girls nearly finding the Miracle Box where she hid it in her dollhouse, despite their attempts to ask Marinette to tell them what's wrong, Marinette snaps and angrily orders them to leave. Heartbroken by Marinette's outburst, Alya and the others leave themselves vulnerable to being Akumatized by Shadow Moth, turning Alya back into Lady Wi-Fi as leader of the newly-created Gang of Secrets to track down Marinette. With help from Cat Noir, Ladybug manages to isolate Lady Wi-Fi from the others and encourage her to fight off her Akumatization as Ladybug needs Rena Rouge's help. Because of Ladybug's encouragement and support, Alya manages to use sheer willpower to break free of Shadow Moth's control, much to his own disbelief and shock, and banish Lady Wi-Fi for good. Ladybug gives her the Fox Miraculous to become Rena Rouge again, and with her help, they isolate Alix, who had become Timebreaker again, allowing Cat Noir to Cataclysm the friendship bracelet containing the Akuma for Ladybug to purify, restoring Timebreaker, Princess Fragrance, Reflekta, and Horrificator back to normal as Alix, Rose, Juleka, and Mylene. Afterwards, back at Marinette's, she apologizes for before, and after the girls assure her they forgive her, after the rest of them leave, Marinette speaks to Alya alone, and finally decides to tell her the truth that she's Ladybug. Understanding and accepting her BFF is Paris' superheroine, Alya hugs Marinette in full acceptance of her double life.
In "Mr. Pigeon 72", Alya finds Marientte, as Ladybug, sporting a bathrobe and towel wrapped over her hair like a lab coat and hat/turban, trying to use what knowledge she extracted from the Miraculous Grimoire to find some way to protect people from being Akumatized at all. Her efforts are met with explosive failure, making a mess of her room, and Alya finally convinces her to temporarily pause her research to go meet up with Adrien and Kagami, not to mention revert back before leaving her room so she doesn't expose her secret to her parents. When Alya is contacted by Ladybug later, needing help as she's trapped at the pool by Mr. Pigeon after Mr. Ramier was Akumatized for the 72nd time, Alya uses the Fox Miraculous to become Rena Rouge and use an illusion of Cat Noir and Ladybug with Mirage to lure Mr. Pigeon back to the pool where Ladybug, with Plagg's help, is able to De-Akumatize Mr. Ramier and repair the damage he caused. Rena arrives at the pool shortly afterwards to show Ladybug some information she found from the Miraculous Grimoire that would prove valuable in her attempts to protect people from being Akumatized at all. With Rena's encouragement, Ladybug is able to transform her suit, and create a Magical Charm for Mr. Ramier to protect him from being Akumatized again. Now with the means to protect people from being Akumatized unlocked through her Miraculous, Ladybug thanks Rena for her help as they share their "Pound It!" fist bump.
When her duty as Rena Rouge alerts Shadow Moth that she's active again, Alya attempts to circumvent this by taking on a new identity as Rena Furtive, but this only delays the inevitable. Her first mission as Rena Furtive takes place in "Rocketear", but after meeting up with Ladybug and both reverting back to Marinette and Alya, Marinette warns Alya that no one must know of her still being active and Shadow Moth believes Rena Rouge has retired. That means that not even Nino can know she's Rena Furtive, much to Alya's frustration and annoyance at having to keep her new identity a secret from everyone, even Nino.
When her cover in compromised again during the season finale "Shadow Moth's Final Attack" when the team is facing the Akumatized supervillain Risk and the Sentimonster Strikeback, she is forced to renounce the Fox Miraculous for good, unable to continue her duties as part of Team Miraculous any longer, especially after telling Carapace behind Ladybug's back of her own double life as Rena Furtive and he protects her during the fight, thus proving she broke her promise to Ladybug to not reveal her new superhero identity to anyone. Worse still, thanks to Adrien's cousin Felix Fathom, the Fox Miraculous, and the rest of them in the Miracle Box, fall into the hands of Shadow Moth, now redubbing himself as "Monarch", allowing him to threaten Paris without Ladybug and Cat Noir having Rena Rouge/Rena Furtive or any of the French Miraculous Superhero Team to back them up any more.
Season 5
Despite losing her abilities to become Rena Rouge/Rena Furtive, Alya joins the Resistance, made up of all the Miraculous users and classmates of Marinette and Adrien, to continue to try and keep morale up as they deal with Chloe and Lila attempting to garner more power and control over their school, especially as Chloe continues to flaunt using her father's status as Mayor of Paris to stay out of trouble. This also goes especially for trying to keep spirits up among the people of Paris as they still believe in and support Ladybug, despite it being only her and Cat Noir now keeping them safe from Monarch.
In "Jubilation", Rena is seen among those superheroes attending Ladybug and Cat Noir's wedding in the dream caused by Gift/Jubilation, and is the one who catches Ladybug's bouquet, only for it to turn into Ladybug's Lucky Charm, an alarm clock, where its ringing is so loud, Ladybug pleads for her to shut it off. She's later seen joining everyone with protecting Paris, even as Ladybug and Cat Noir are dealing with the responsibilities of parenthood alongside their heroic duties.
In "Determination", to try and help restore morale to Paris because of losing Rena Rouge and the other heroes, Grevin Museum curator Veronique has a wax figurine of Rena Rouge made, alongside those of the rest of the team, in hopes of helping to boost hope. When Mayor Bourgeois, under Chloe's influence again, refuses to let the figures be displayed, Veronique is Akumatized by Monarch into Manipula, bringing the wax figures of Rena Rouge and the others to life to try and make Manipula look like a hero by bringing the team back. The Rena Rouge wax figure is later defeated alongside the Vesperia one by Ladybug and Cat Noir, and once Manipula is defeated, the figures are restored to the museum unharmed and inanimate again by Miraculous Ladybug, and Ladybug convinces Mayor Bourgeois to open the exhibit after all.
At one point, in "Confrontation", Sabrina helps Marinette to get Chloe and Lila caught in their most diabolical scheme to get Marinette in trouble and expelled from school by forging the class' career forms and blaming Marinette for sabotaging her classmates' futures. This causes Juleka to be vulnerable to being Akumatized into Reflekta again, but Ladybug and Cat Noir are able to return her to normal again. Sabrina then is able to lure Lila and Chloe to where they end up publicly exposing the truth and Lila's true personality to the rest of the class, Miss Bustier, and Principal Damocles, resulting in Lila's expulsion, while Chloe is put under surveillance by Miss Bustier to keep her in line. This also proves that Marinette had been telling everyone the truth, but they had been unable to believe her because of Lila's lies. Miss Bustier apologizes to Marinette for not believing her in the first place, and Alya speaks for the whole class, including the members of the Resistance/Team Miraculous, in apologizing as well. However, this effort leads to Principal Damocles resigning to protect his students when Chloe flaunts her father's authority again to at least keep the main part of her plan with Lila intact by either having the forged career forms be processed, or Principal Damocles fired if he defied Mayor Bourgeois' orders, though Andre is being forced into putting Damocles in a bind by the encouragement of his wife and Chloe's mom, Audrey. When Damocles becomes despondent over his situation, he is about to be Akumatized again, but Alya and the other kids encourage him to fight and stand up for what he knows is right, especially after Juleka overcomes her speech impediment to encourage her principal as well, to everyone's surprise. This allows Damocles to activate his Magical Charm and fight off Monarch's Megakuma, purifying it, and he decides to allow the kids to resubmit their career forms while telling Mayor Bourgeois that he quits as principal, done having to defy his morals in order to keep his job and let Chloe have her way. Alya and the other kids wish Damocles good luck as he packs up his belongings and leaves College Francois Dupont for other opportunities that won't be under Mayor Bourgeois' boot.
Chloe later manages to get Miss Bustier fired and Marinette expelled, but this backfires once her father decides to atone for his actions and corruption of duty as Mayor and reverses the decision as one of his final acts before resigning in disgrace to pursue his own dream career that he couldn't do just to make Audrey and Chloe happy by being in a position of power they could flaunt for their own whims.
In "Revolution", even after getting Miss Bustier back, Alya and the rest of the class now had to deal with Chloe taking over as Mayor from her father and turning Paris upside down with all her new laws and rules that seemed to be biased towards the Bourgeois family. They are even sent to Chloe's "detention" maze to suffer, until being broken out by Ladybug and Cat Noir. Confronting Chloe at the Louvre as she was holding a press conference to announce the abolishment of the mayoral elections, Chloe reveals herself to have been Akumatized again as Queen Mayor, and captures Ladybug and Cat Noir, preparing to expose their civilian identities to all of Paris. However, Ladybug's encouraging words convince Alya and the rest of Team Miraculous/The Resistance to urge Paris to rise up in rebellion against Chloe, which they do in spades, and Chloe is left to fend for herself when Gabriel, Tomoe, and Lila, even her own mother Audrey, abandon her to the angry mob. Ladybug and Cat Noir are able to find the willpower to unlock the full power of their Miraculous, allowing them to stay transformed indefinitely without needing to revert back to recuperate from overtaxing themselves after using Lucky Charm and Cataclysm, and thus Chloe's plans fall apart almost instantly, with Miss Bustier personally taking away her mayoral sash and destroying it, freeing the Megakuma for Ladybug to purify. As Alya and everyone else glare down the defeated Chloe, Ladybug is about to give her a Magical Charm, before Andre personally sees to taking Chloe away to be severely punished, finally taking control of his life and ensuring that all of Chloe's actions she got away with before finally catch up to her. He also tells off Audrey, divorces her, and exiles both his wife and daughter from Paris indefinitely, rendering them persona non grata in the city. With Chloe stripped of her power as Mayor and the Bourgeois family, sans Andre and Zoe, exiled from the city for good, Alya and the other students suggest that Miss Bustier run for the empty position as the new Mayor, and with their encouragement, she does. Alya and the other students then head to the Eiffel Tower to celebrate their end-of-the-school-year dance as Paris celebrates their freedom from the Bourgeois family once and for all.
However, in the season finale, "The Final Day", things take a turn for the worse when Hawk Moth, now calling himself Monarch, and Tomoe, launch their master plan: Operation Perfect Alliance, turning many people all over the Earth into Miraculized soldiers to hunt down Ladybug and Cat Noir after infecting them with horrible nightmares via Gabriel as Nightormentor. Alya finds herself struggling against them alongside the rest of the Resistance, especially after freeing Ivan from being a Miraculized himself, all while dealing with the nightmares that created the Miraculized in the first place. Alya and Nino later save ex-Principal Damocles from being a Miraculized himself, and as The Owl, he joins them in fighting the Miraculized. Even with support brought over by Bunnyx via Grand Master Su-Han and the Guardians, and joined by the United Heroez and Ladydragon, it is a losing fight as the Miraculized keep coming by the dozens, soon overpowering Knightowl and Ladydragon, while Majestia returns from looking for Ladybug and Cat Noir to somberly report she was unable to find them. Alya can only look over her list of missed calls to Marinette in deep worry and concern, leaving her to wonder what is happening to Marinette/Ladybug that she's not answering, and whether that she could be in trouble if the Miraculized got to her first, or is too busy fighting Monarch to answer.
Thankfully, before Alya and the others can be overrun by the Miraculized, it is around this time that Marinette defeats Monarch, having learned of his true identity as Gabriel Agreste, Adrien's father, thanks to Argos and Kagami, and Gabriel acquires the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous to have Tikki and Plagg become Gimmi, allowing him to make his wish, which thanks to Marinette's words from talking with him earlier, Gabriel sacrifices himself to heal Nathalie of her comatose state, while he and Adrien's mother and his wife, Emilie, ascend to the afterlife. Gimmi then sees to resetting the universe in accordance to Gabriel's wish.
Fast forward one month later, and Alya and the rest of the Resistance are alright. They are seen celebrating a pool party at the Agreste mansion together, with Adrien now being watched over by a healthy Nathalie, his aunt Amelie, and cousin Felix, while Gabriel is hailed as a hero for taking Monarch down with himself, Tomoe has taken over his company, Miss Bustier was elected the new Mayor and is making Paris more eco-friendly, and after recovering the Miraculous Grimoire from the mansion earlier after her battle with Gabriel, Marinette has rebuilt the Fox Miraculous, along with the rest of the ones Gabriel had acquired, back to their original forms, though Alya sympathizes with her over failing to recover the Butterfly Miraculous and assures her they will get it back. Having learned from what happened with when the Miraculous were all together in the Miracle Box, Marinette, as Guardian of them, makes the conscious decision to split them up among her classmates/members of the French Miraculous Superhero Team to ensure they can't be taken and used for evil again. Alya is reunited with Trixx and becomes Rena Rouge once more, joining Purple Tigress, Polymouse, Pigella, Ryuko, Miss Hound, Vesperia, Bunnyx, King Monkey, Pegasus, Carapace, Argos, Rooster Bold, Viperion, Caprikid, and Minotaurox as they rejoin Ladybug and Cat Noir with defending Paris from any future threats the city will be facing in this new universe brought about by Gabriel's wish.
Unknown to any of the team, Lila Rossi/Cerise Bianca, now going under the alias "Iris Verde", had acquired the Butterfly Miraculous and planned on using it against Marinette, but was attacked by an unseen force, leaving her fate unknown.
Miraculous Paris
Taking place somewhere in Season 5 after the events of "Evolution" and "Destruction", as Marinette and Alya are talking about their next move to try and get the rest of the Miraculous and Kwamis back from Monarch, Alya suddenly collapses to the floor, clutching her head in pain, before suddenly transforming into Ubiquity, a Kamikotized superhero, to allow the Butterfly Miraculous user of a parallel universe, Betterfly, who uses the Miraculous for good, not evil, to come through. After the portal closes, Alya wonders what happened to herself before Betterfly explains everything to her. She is initially enraged, suspecting this was Monarch's doing, but before Betterfly can further explain things, Alya is forced to reopen Ubiquity's portal as her own parallel self from Betterfly's universe speaks through her, warning Betterfly and Marinette that his enemies are coming through and to run for it. After they flee, Shadybug and Claw Noir emerge through the portal, and quickly subdue Alya/Ubiquity, since she's their means to return to their universe. After they take off in pursuit of Betterfly, Alya/Ubiquity contacts Betterfly and warns him of her situation. Thanking her for her efforts, he recalls his Kamiko and returns her to normal, before Alya then has to make up a cover story to fool Sabine and Tom when they investigate all the noise from Claw Noir blowing out the wall of the room with Cataclysm earlier.
Marinette later calls Alya once she and Betterfly reach the Eiffel Tower to explain the situation to her about Betterfly being a parallel Monarch from another universe that fights on the side of good while Marinette's parallel self and that of Adrien are on the side of evil. Alya's a little confused until Tikki clears up the confusion due to her own knowledge of the Multiverse. After that, Marinette asks Alya to keep Tom and Sabine in the dark about the damage to her room until everything is fixed with Miraculous Ladybug. Alya promises to do that before hanging up.
Later, when Shadybug and Claw Noir return to Marinette's room so Shadybug can look over Marinette's diary and learn about her Quantic Universe counterpart's life with Alya and her other classmates and friends, something Shadybug doesn't have in the Re-Verse, finding her cellphone got broken earlier when she first turned into Ubiquity, Alya sneaks downstairs to grab Sabine's, succeeding when she and Tom finally turn off the TV to go to bed. She returns just in time to record when Shadybug and Claw Noir are confronted by Monarch and he offers an alliance with them to acquire the Quantic Universe's Ladybug and Cat Miraculous to summon Gimmi to grant Shadybug and Claw Noir's wishes.
She then flees to meet up with Betterfly, Cat Noir, and Ladybug, to show them the footage, and soon enough, with Cat Noir's encouragement, Ladybug works out a plan:
- First, travel to London as Astrocat and Cosmobug with Alya and Betterfly to be out of reach of Monarch's ability to sense Akumatizations/Kamikotizations so he could reverse it if he sensed it.
- Second, transform Alya into Ubiquity again to access the Re-Verse, then have Betterfly transform back into Re-Verse Gabriel and allow Ladybug to use the Butterfly Miraculous to become Ladyfly to turn Re-Verse Gabriel into the Kamikotized superhero Guardian Angel to protect Ladyfly and Cat Noir from any attempt by his Quantic Universe counterpart in Monarch to ambush them while they are fighting Shadybug and Claw Noir.
- Third, to ensure Guardian Angel can't be turned back, store his object infused with the Kamiko back in the Re-Verse, where it will be safe from Monarch and out of his reach, where he can't detect it.
Once the plan is set, Ladyfly, Cat Noir, and Ubiquity return to Paris, where when they are spotted by Monarch, Shadybug, and Claw Noir, Monarch reverts Ubiquity back into Alya, all according to Ladyfly's plan. When Monarch then attempts to ambush Ladyfly and Cat Noir using the Mouse Miraculous' ability to create clones of himself and paralyze them with the Bee Miraculous' Venom, Guardian Angel's power prevents it and takes out his clones instead. Realizing he's fallen into a trap, Monarch flees, leaving Shadybug and Claw Noir to fend for themselves, and soon be convinced by their Quantic Universe counterparts to repent and turn good, renaming themselves Paw Noir and Ladybug.
The mission complete, Quantic Ladybug returns the Re-Verse Butterfly Miraculous to Re-Verse Gabriel, turning him back into Betterfly, who then turns Alya back into Ubiquity again to provide a portal back to the Re-Verse for Betterfly, Paw Noir, and Re-Verse Ladybug to return home. However, she soon doubles over in pain, sensing someone else is trying to travel to another parallel universe at the same time. Quantic Ladybug figures it is Monarch, using Sublimation to give himself the power to travel to other universes. Telling Betterfly to Kamikotize her to deal with Monarch, Betterfly turns Alya back to normal and sends the Kamiko to Quantic Ladybug, Kamikotizing her willingly into Ladybiquity, a fusion of Ubiquity's powers and the Ladybug Miraculous. With Ubiquity's powers, Ladybiquity syncs with her counterparts in other parallel universes to stop Monarch and his attempts to secure the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous from those universes.
First was a parallel universe where Alya was given the Ladybug Miraculous to become Scarabella and Zoe the Cat Miraculous to become Kitty Noire. When Monarch ambushes them and tries to take Scarabella's Ladybug Miraculous, he's stopped by that universe's Marinette as Ubiquity, who quickly decks him back into his own universe. The next was a 2D anime style universe, where he is quickly spotted by that universe's Ladybiquity and Cat Noir, and quickly overpowered. The third was a comic style universe, but again, Ladybiquity is on top of him in an instant. The final attempt was where Marinette and Adrien had swapped Miraculous and Adrien was Mister Bug while Marinette was Lady Noire, or in this case, Ubiquinoire due to the fusion of the Cat Miraculous and Ubiquity's powers, who quickly sends Monarch packing with her staff, which finally convinces him to throw in the towel and give up, swearing to take out Ladybug throughout the Multiverse to have his victory.
With Monarch defeated, Alya is turned into Ubiquity one last time to allow Betterfly, Paw Noir, and Re-Verse Ladybug to return home, and prepare their Resistance for war with The Supreme. After that, Alya is returned to normal for good, and she and Marinette return home to the Dupain-Cheng Bakery, just in time for breakfast.
Miraculous London
As revealed in this special during the final moments of "Re-Creation (The Final Day - Part 2)", after Gabriel made his wish, Marinette was able to gain the recovered Nathalie Sancoeur's assistance in freeing the Kwamis and use her Miraculous Ladybug as Bug Noire to undo the effects of Operation Perfect Alliance, saving Alya, the Resistance, the United Heroez, Ladydragon, and the Guardians from the Miraculized by returning the Miraculized to normal with no memory of what happened, and also purging everyone of Nightormentor's nightmares that served as the catalyst to creating the Miraculized in the first place. However, abiding by Gabriel's last request, Marinette destroys The Crypt to ensure no one ever finds it and figures out Gabriel was Monarch, and lies to Adrien and the rest of the world that Gabriel sacrificed himself to end Monarch's threat forever, including Alya, leaving Marinette feeling deeply guilt-ridden and remorseful over what she had to do to ensure Gabriel is seen as a hero instead of a villain per his last request to her before he made his wish to Gimmi.
Alya and everyone else are nearly erased from existence without knowing it by Lila/Cerise when she acquires the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous to summon Gimmi and make a wish, but thanks to Marinette and Alix as Chronobug and Bunnyx, Lila is thwarted, saving the timeline and the universe, and Marinette uses the incident to finalize her decision to send Trixx back to Alya to become Rena Rouge full-time alongside the other Kwamis to reunite the French Miraculous Superhero Team so Lila will have to deal with the whole team in the future.
Season 6
Trailers for the first season using the new Unreal Engine animation show Rena Rouge, along with Ladybug, Cat Noir, Carapace, Miss Hound, Pegasus, and the rest of Team Miraculous as they engage in one of their impending battles together against Lila's Akumatized supervillains.
Also, in the gap since Gabriel's death, and the end of Monarch's threat, Alya and the rest of Team Miraculous have been able to, with Marinette's help, overcome the limiter failsafe on their respective Miraculous and are able to use their special abilities repeatedly without needing to revert back to give their Kwamis time to recuperate. They also have been granted permission by Marinette to use the Miraculous for other heroic acts when the city is not being threatened by an Akumatized supervillain, helping to take some of the stress and pressure off Paris' first responders and other citizens.
In "The Illustrhater", Alya and Nino are going to the movies with Marinette and Adrien, but when the bus is stuck on a damaged bridge and it is about to collapse, Marinette and Adrien shield Alya and Nino as they transform into Rena Rouge and Carapace to save the bus. Lieutenant Roger Raincomprix and the Paris first responders thank Rena and Carapace for their efforts, and after retreating to an alleyway to revert back, Alya decides to leave Marinette and Adrien to fend for themselves while she and Nino investigate the new carrier of the Butterfly Miraculous. However, when they interrogate Mayor Bustier, she explains what she was feeling at the time of her Akumatization, which was fear for her baby daughter Harmonie, and what she heard before being Akumatized, but other than that, and interviewing other victims, they have nothing else to go on. However, when Maya, a young girl turned into the Akumatized supervillain Illustrhater, begins causing havoc around Paris with her drawings, Alya and Nino become Rena Rouge and Carapace again, contact Ladybug and Cat Noir to warn them they have an Akumatized villain on the loose, and join them to help stop Illustrhater.

Despite some initial setbacks as Maya refuses to hand over her sketchpad that carries Lila's Ultrakuma in it, Ladybug, with Rena's help, is able to lure Maya close enough to disarm her of the sketchpad, allowing Cat Noir to destroy it with Cataclysm, and Ladybug catches the Ultrakuma, purifies it, and then fixes all the damage with Miraculous Ladybug. Afterwards, Ladybug gives Maya a Magical Charm to protect her, and Rena shares a "Pound It!" fist bump with her fellow Miraculous users and Maya.
That night, despite their setbacks with finding the new Butterfly Miraculous user, realizing that, had it not been for Alya's reassurance, Marinette would still be panicking and freaking out about her decision to split the Miraculous and the Kwamis among Team Miraculous, grateful to her BFF, Marinette has Tikki grant Alya her own Kwagatama, so that, if Marinette should ever renounce her position as Guardian of the Miraculous, thus losing her memories as Master Fu did, Alya would be granted the title herself, and would reassign Trixx to another user she would trust with the Fox Miraculous when Alya became Scarabella and Tikki's owner upon Marinette's resignation.
In "Sublimation", Alya is worried for Marinette as Marinette has been extremely vigilant regarding Sublime, a new student from Belgium who has been running every morning with Adrien as of late. Knowing Marinette and how paranoid she's going to be, Alya asks Tikki to keep an eye on her.
In "Daddycop", Alya, along with Mylene, Rose, Juleka, Kagami, and Zoe, are preparing for their weekly girls movie night at Marinette's, but Marinette had planned to celebrate her 100th kiss with Adrien that same night. When they notice Sabrina and how she had been alone since Chloé was exiled from Paris, they decide to invite her, through Zoe, to the movie night. Unfortunately, Marinette assumed they were okay with her inviting Adrien so she could still have her dinner date with him, and when Sabrina is heartbroken after Marinette told her the truth, when they learn of it, fearing for Sabrina's well-being, they rush to help and comfort her, but are confronted by her father, Lt. Roger Raincomprix, Akumatized into Daddycop by Chrysalis. Alya is among the first victims of Daddycop to be brainwashed into becoming a zombie who loves Sabrina and attempt to chase her down to comfort her, but later, thanks to a group effort by Ladybug, Cat Noir, Pegasus, and Miss Hound, Alya and the other victims are returned to normal, stunned and confused by what happened. Later, back at Marinette's, Sabrina apologizes for her sins when she was helping Chloé and hopes for a fresh start with the other female members of Team Miraculous. Alya and the other girls reassure her Chloé is nothing but a bad memory for all of them now and Sabrina has a chance to truly be herself now and not be in the shadow of someone like Chloé anymore, giving Sabrina a group hug to show they are there to help her now. Later, Sabrina appears at school sporting a new appearance now that she can just be herself, and Alya and the other members of Team Miraculous offer positive reactions to it.
In "Revelator", Alya is with the rest of the team as, encouraged by Ladybug and Cat Noir, they attempt to unlock their adult Miraculous powers through sheer willpower. Though some are initially unable to and revert back, forcing them to refuel their Kwamis, transform, and try again, they all soon succeed in their efforts, including Alya with being able to remain transformed as Rena Rouge indefinitely. To celebrate, Ladybug dubs the new team "The Miraculers", which Rena and the rest of the team all agree on.
Alya is at the beach later with Marinette, Adrien, and Nino, and makes it clear her stance as a journalist with wanting to tell the truth after looking over several videos she posted on the Ladyblog, but knows she has to keep the secret about the Miraculers, no matter how much it pains her to do so. Later, she learns that Vincent is trying to discredit and ruin Marinette's public reputation with posting lies on his own channel, "Vincent Secret", with praising Gabriel while talking down Marinette and Ladybug. After Vincent goes a step further with manipulating the footage from his podcast with Marinette and Adrien to further discredit her, Alya decides to pay him back by using her powers as Rena Rouge to lure him into a trap. Using her Mirage to disguise herself as an avid fan of Vincent, with Ladybug providing a Lucky Charm camera to secretly spy on Vincent during the talk, Rena gets Vincent to confess to his actions, which she then, as Alya, uploads to the Ladyblog, before having it broadcasted on TVi News. Once the truth is exposed, Vincent's subscribers plummet, and he is loathed by Paris for his actions and lies. However, Chrysalis takes advantage of this and Akumatizes him into Revelator. When Alya and Marinette learn of this after seeing the video Revelator posted after hitting Maya's father with his beam and uploading the orb containing his deepest secret to all of Paris, they transform into Rena Rouge and Ladybug to confront him, soon joined by Cat Noir.
During the fight, before Revelator can acquire the orb containing Ladybug's deepest secret, Rena uses her Mirage to disorient him while she grabs the real one, but despite Ladybug's pleas, Rena looks into it, and learns the truth that Ladybug/Marinette had lied to her, Adrien, and the whole world, about Gabriel, and that he was Monarch. Rena/Alya is shocked by what she sees, before turning a furious glare towards Ladybug/Marinette, who realizes what happened. After creating Mirage doubles of Ladybug and Rena to distract Revelator, Rena confronts Ladybug and furiously demands to know why Marinette is keeping this information from Adrien. Despite Ladybug's explanations because of the alternate timelines she witnessed in "Cat Blanc" and "Ephemeral" justifying her decision, Rena/Alya reminds Ladybug/Marinette that, as a journalist, she's dedicated to telling the truth, but now that she knows about Monarch, she has to do the worst thing she can do as a journalist: lie. After Revelator is de-Akumatized, Ladybug fixes the damage with Miraculous Ladybug, but Rena sternly tells her she still knows the truth. At that point, Ladybug encourages Cat Noir to unlock a new power of his Miraculous to help destroy the knowledge from Rena's memories. With her encouragement, Cat Noir unleashes his Miraculous Cat Noir for the first time, erasing the knowledge of Gabriel being Monarch from Rena's memories, who willingly allows it to happen, so when Ladybug and Cat Noir ask if it worked, when Rena turns to look at them and ask in confusion, "Did what work?", they realize it did work and Ladybug's secret is safe, leaving Rena puzzled by what happened just now, before turning their attention back to Vincent.
Later, at the beach, Alya notices that Marinette seems down, and assures her she's there to help if Marinette needs it. With that, the two of them join Adrien and Nino in the water for some fun. However, back at home, Alya admits to Trixx that Marinette is carrying some sort of burden she doesn't want to tell anyone about, and vows to help her in any way she can to protect it.
Powers and Abilities
As a civilian
Being the admin of the school blog and Ladyblog, Alya is skilled with phones and technology in general, and knows how to do things like adding videos, streams, and articles. She is also good at writing, as shown with the articles she writes for her Ladyblog and the script she wrote for a movie in the episode "Horrificator". Another one of her skills is reporting and explaining situations even in dangerous situations. Finally, she is a skilled observer, being able to figure out many things about Ladybug and Cat Noir, as well as their enemies, simply by watching them.
As Rena Rouge
Rena Rouge has enchanted abilities like speed and strength, and most notably agility, being able to jump much higher than either Ladybug or Cat Noir. Her weapon is her flute, which she uses to hit enemies and use her special ability.
Her special ability is called Mirage, and she uses it by playing her flute, which creates an orange energy ball at its tip. She then swings the flute to throw the energy ball, creating an illusion wherever it lands.
This illusion will disappear if someone touches it. Mirage can only be used once per transformation and will cause Rena Rouge to revert to her civilian form five minutes after its use. Should she be able to do like Ladybug and Cat Noir in "Revolution" and unlock the full power of her Miraculous via sheer willpower, she will be able to use Mirage repeatedly without the need to revert back after a set time limit to recuperate after using Mirage the first time.

- She is the first in the show to find out the identity of another Miraculous holder, as well as the second to reveal her secret identity as Rena Rouge. Chloé Bourgeois previously revealed her secret identity as Queen Bee in the episode "Queen Wasp". Ladybug and Cat Noir also found out each other's identities in "Oblivio", but their memories of this were erased by Ladybug's Miraculous Ladybug.
