Nurm is a supporting character in the Season 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode, an episodic point-and-click video game. He is a villager who runs a shop with his best friend, Jack, assisting him and Jesse on their adventures.
As expected from a villager, he can only communicate with hums. He is voiced by Mark Barbolak.
Appearance
As a villager with the cartographer profession, Nurm dawns a white coat with cuffs and a belt. He wears a green hat with a black stripe and a white feather stuck into it, unlike any vanilla villager at the time.
Personality
Despite not speaking much, Nurm is a very intelligent villager, able to understand the Sea Temple runes and being the genius behind all of Jack's maps. He and Jack have formed an unbreakable bond, owning an emporium and having adventures together. If Nurm is left in Cellblock X, Jack becomes very upset and vows to break his best friend out of the prison.
When Xara reveals that someone needs to stay in her cell in order to not trigger the traps, Nurm selflessly volunteered to take that place, allowing Jesse and Lluna to escape. If Lluna is chosen to stay behind, Nurm is constantly concerned for the llama's safety. When Ivor brings back Lluna, Nurm is very relieved to see her in one piece.
Nurm is a pacifist, so he usually leaves most of the fighting to Jack and relies on him for protection. However, Nurm is still very capable of defending himself, as shown when he dual-wields axes if Jesse chooses to take him instead of Lluna.

Trivia
- Nurm is the only villager seen in-game, excluding witches. Though Villagers have been occasionally mentioned, but he is the only one shown on-screen.
- Nurm is afraid of zombies, likely a reference to vanilla villagers.
- Dialogue files within the game indicate Nurm's actual words, however these aren't used within the game's subtitles.
- Nurm originally resided in Pur'gan-Gah valley before he decided to join Jack in his travels.
