Nacht Faust is a major supporting character in the anime and manga series Black Clover. He is an ex-nobleman and the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls Magic Knight squad, and a devil host. He is a spy in the Spade Kingdom throughout the beginning of the story.
He was voiced by Hiro Shimono in Japanese (who also voices Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer, and Scott Pilgrim in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off) and Max Mittelman in English (who also voices Saitama in One Punch Man, Kousei Arima in Your Lie in April, Konohamaru Sarutobi in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, King in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Sabito in Demon Slayer).
Appearance
Nacht is a young man with a soft-featured face and fair skin. He has pale blue eyes and long black hair done up in a high ponytail. He has four relics connected to the devils hanging from a simple string necklace. The spot where Lucifugus' relic was destroyed is marked with a scar on his left wrist.
Nacht is dressed in a dark-colored blazer with a high neck and four buttons. His grimoire pouch hangs out to the left of his four blue belts that encircle his waist, along with another pair of belts below. The symbol of the Black Bull is on his grimoire pouch.
Nacht's hair was tinted blonde by the time he was fifteen years old, despite having black hair as a child like his twin. At eighteen years, he's dressed in knee-high black boots, dark colored slacks, and a long-sleeved shirt with a deep v-cut.
Personality
Nacht is a reasonable and practical individual. He is aware that Asta cannot possibly save Yami from the Dark Triad on her own. He thinks losers are stupid and feels that the loser is to blame for the defeat in a battle.
Nacht doesn't hesitate to show his feelings for someone. Additionally, he has no problem telling the Magic Knight captains directly how much he dislikes them all.
He adheres to an extremely narrow definition of good and evil, holding that anything is only good if it is good from the beginning and that something bad that turns nice is still ultimately wicked, even though it may come as a pleasant surprise. Nacht holds that righting past wrongs is impossible. He is a blunt man who hates the Black Bulls, but works with them and the other Magic Knights to stop the Dark Triad. Like Asta, he's devil-possessed and teaches him how to use his devil's power. Nacht is the host of four different devils: Gimodelo, Slotos, Plumede, and Walgner.
Powers and Abilities
Shadow Magic is Nacht's magic attribute. It allows him to manipulate shadows. He can travel through them and restrain individuals with his Magic. He often pairs his attribute with Devil Union.
