Karui is a supporting character in the Naruto anime/manga series and the Boruto series. She is a kunoichi from Kumogakure with the rank of Chunin and a member of Team Samui. After the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War, she immigrated from Kumo to Konoha, where she married Chōji Akimichi, becoming Chōchō's mother.
She was voiced by Danielle Nicolet in Naruto, and by Sascha Alexander in Boruto.
Personality
Karui is an energetic person who likes to irritate and tease Omoi, sometimes antagonizing him in various relationship situations. When Karui and Omoi first appeared in the storyline, they were always up in arms about something, until the Raikage called them loudly, showing that they were always angry. What's more, the argument goes even further because Omoi thought that she was flattered by the leader of their team, which made Karui even more angry.
Like the rest of her team members, they have a huge fondness for Killer B due to the fact that they were trained by him and she was determined to save him from his kidnappers. Karui is also stubborn in achieving her goal because she called Omoi a plant, declaring that they will not be able to save Killer B, yet she believes that she can be saved. Karui does not like to tolerate her own failures when something goes wrong or someone trips her, as she showed the example of Naruto who made it difficult to catch Sasuke, which is why she started beating him severely.
