Brutaka is the major protagonist and the former antagonist in the BIONICLE franchise. He once served as the supporting antagonist in the Voya Nui arc and later as the supporting character in the Mahri Nui arc. He is the member of the Order of Mata Nui, though he betrayed them after he lost his faith to Mata Nui when he believed that he have seemingly died. However, he eventually regained his loyalty to him after he learned of his true mission and rejoined the rank of the Order.
He also serves as the main protagonist in the serial story, Federation of Fear as he led his team which consisted of the villains to rescue Miserix in order to have him assist the Order to defeat the Brotherhood of Makuta.
He was voiced by Trevor Devall, who also voiced Pohatu in the animated show.
Appearance
Brutaka is the titanic robot whose body was navy in color and was fitted with several golden armor pieces all over his body. He also wore the golden Kanohi Olmak.
History
Personality
Prior of his betrayal, Brutaka is the loyal, trustworthy, dutiful and honorable warrior who loyally served Mata Nui and was willing to do everything to serve his will and was also a good friend of Axonn as both of them get along with each other. However when he learned of Mata Nui's supposed death due to the actions of Makuta Teridax, Brutaka loses his faith in Mata Nui's will and betray the Order of Mata Nui in his pursuit of obtaining the Kanohi Ignika for his goal. Fortunately, he manages to regain his duty and loyalty after he learned of Mata Nui's true mission and realized his errors following his journey in Mahri Nui.
