Anna Williams is a heroine in the Tekken series of fighting games. She is best known as the seductive younger sister and rival of Nina Williams.
She was voiced by Yumi Tōma, Kaori Yamagata and Akeno Watanabe in the Japanese version, and by Claire Hamilton, Lenne Hardt, Debra Jean Rogers and Tara Platt in the English version.
Biography
Tekken
Anna is her younger sister of Nina. Her mother taught her Aikido, but her father neglected her. She entered the first King of Iron Fist Tournament to show her sister that she isn't a witch.
Tekken 2
Anna left home, because she hated her father and went to India. When she was there she heard about Kazuya Mishima and decided to meet him. However, she has become his bodyguard with Ganryu and Bruce Irvin. Later Anna placed a bomb on her sister's car. Nina started shooting at her with her gun, but she jumped into water and escaped. Both decided to enter the second King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Tekken 3
During the previous tournament, Kazuya said to Anna that Nina was caught by his people and she became a guinea pig in Doctor Bosconovitch's "Cold Sleep" experiment. Despite that, they were still in conflict Anna did not want to leave her sister. She went to Bosconovitch and decided to be a guinea pig like Nina. Nineteen years later they felt the presence of Ogre and both awakened. Anna wanted to compete with her sister, but Nina lost her memory and don't remember her. Nina entered the third King of Iron Fist Tournament and Anna did the same to prevent her sister becomes an assassin again.
Tekken 5
After the third King of Iron Fist Tournament, Nina vanished and Anna felt something was missing in her life. Then she got a call from Nina. Anna met her a few days later and when she was Nina they started fighting. In the end, they decided to end their battle in the fifth King of Iron Fist Tournament.
Tekken 6
Anna was defeated by Nina in the previous tournament. When she learned that Nina is a member of the Mishima Zaibatsu she decided to join to G Corporation ruled by Kazuya Mishima.
Tekken 7
Anna Williams was assigned to lead G Corporations Special Forces to fight against her sister, Nina Williams, with whom she has a fierce rivalry. However, Anna became exhausted by the endless fighting. Additionally, at the sixth King of Iron Fist Tournament (which Anna attended as part of her Special Forces work), Anna's popularity as a fighter ranked far below her sister's. Anna's heart broke as she was confronted by the difference in the world's perception of herself and her sister.
A G Corp executive began to show care for Anna during this time. Attracted to his kindness, Anna eventually fell in love and decided to marry him.
However, the man had a dark side: he was a mafia executive.
On the day of the wedding, an incident occurred. While Anna was getting ready in the waiting room of the wedding hall, she noticed that her pure white wedding dress was missing. Moments later, she heard gunshots and screams from the ceremony hall where the guests had gathered. Anna rushed there and saw that the ceremony hall had turned into the scene of a tragedy. Her fiancé had been shot and killed, leaving Anna a widow. She spotted the assailant fleeing the scene in her wedding dress.
Anna saw red and swore to take revenge on the person responsible.
Tekken 8
Younger sister to Nina Williams, Anna Williams is breathtaking not only in her beauty but also her skills as a deadly former assassin, earning her the alias of "Scarlet Lightning".
Six months ago, Anna was working as an operations strategist for G Corporation after putting her life as a professional killer behind her. It was there she met the love of her life, a G Corp executive. Soon thereafter, they were set to marry.
But, on the day of her wedding, her husband-to-be was murdered by her sister Nina. To add salt to such a deep wound, Anna was also suddenly cut from her position at G Corp.
Burning with a fierce hatred towards Nina, Anna put her old information network to work once more to uncover the truth behind this series of devastating events.
To her surprise, she learned that her late fiancé had been colluding with a nefarious crime syndicate in secret. She was shown to be reviled though that didn't last as she learned that Nina took over her job at G Corp furious she vowed revenge and decides to get a new weapon called little tom.
Abilities
Anna uses a fighting style based on the Aikido taught to her by her mother, and the Koppojutsu of her father. As she was closer to her mother, Anna's style is closer to Aikido than that of her sister, who leans more to the techniques learned by their father. She uses precise chops and kicks, aiming at vulnerable points of the body of her opponent. In close range, she uses her abilities to apply destructive joint locks and throws to take out the opponent.
Personality
Anna takes cues from the femme fatale trope, matching her deadly occupation with her histrionic, flirtatious, and sociable personality. These traits contrast with Nina's cold, more reserved demeanor. Anna also appears to value connection with other people more than Nina does, as can be observed in the relationship she entered with her fiancé in her Tekken 7 storyline, and in her willingness to help Nina following the loss of her memories during cryosleep. Anna is occasionally shown to have reservations over her and Nina's deadly rivalry, going so far as to step away from it entirely between the events of Tekken 6 and Tekken 7. Anna is shown losing to Nina in almost all of her endings except Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and this trend appears to have taken its toll following the sixth King of Iron Fist Tournament, where Nina beat her both in a match and popularity rankings, leaving Anna distressed and exhausted by the repetitive cycle.

Trivia
- The said given name of the character meant "grace, gracious". From the Hebrew female name חַנָּה (ḥannâ), and it was derived from the Latinate and New Testament form of Ann, from Ancient Greek Ἄννα (Ánna). A very common but generic name.
