Quoatl is a fictional character from ∀ Gundam television series.

History

He was the king of Adeska. Taruka was chosen by the Adeskan people to challenge Quoatl and become the new king, but he lost his nerve and was unable to follow through, being too afraid of carrying the burden of his people. Quoatl notices and leaves instead of fighting him - an action that is seen as cowardly and angers the Adeskan people. In reality, wanted to give Taruka more time to gather his courage.

When the crew of the Willgem came to Manuipich to reach the moon, Dianna Counter's turrets stood in their way. Despite his initial hesitance, Quoatl eventually agreed to help Loran and the others destroy the turrets. However, they are instead caught by insurrectionists who betray him in order to make Tanaka the new king. Quoatl is brought to the altar to duel Taruka, the leader of the rebels, However, he refuses to take up the sword against Taruka.

While helping Loran destroy the turrets, he is fatally wounded. He takes off his mask and demands that Taruka kill him and become the new king. He holds up a bag of explosives which is shot by a fire arrow, which kills both Quoatl and Mayalito as well as destroys the final turret.

Notes & Trivia

• Although it is seen that he was shot at the back of the head, the shot wound appears on his around his kidney.
