The Haunzen features a small but luxurious interior. It is normally only used by the wealthy and privileged elite, such as government officials. It has no armaments and must depend on escorts for protection.
History
Haunzen Flight 356 was a passenger flight that was traveling a direct route between the Moon and Earth. It departed Von Braun on April 19, U.C. 0105, and was scheduled to land in Hong Kong that same day. Most of the passengers of Flight 356 were Earth Federation cabinet ministers and other important officials who were making their way to Adelaide, Australia for the Adelaide Conference, the 25th official meeting of the cabinet. Among the VIPs were Minister Karl Eyinstein, Minister Logan McGovern, Communications Minister Sauli Stahlberg, Public Health Minister Hiram Mescher, and Jupiter Development Agency Director Douglas Higgins. Other notable passengers included Colonel Kenneth Sleg of the Earth Federation Forces, Gigi Andalucia, Hundley Yeoksan, and Hathaway Noa.
Flight 356 was hijacked following its atmospheric reentry by masked terrorists claiming to be the anti-Federation group Mafty. The six hijackers intended to take the well-heeled passengers hostage and ransom them for money, but their scheme was thwarted by Hathaway Noa and Kenneth Sleg. In the aftermath, Flight 356 was diverted to Davao Air Base outside Davao, Philippines, and landed safely. The surviving passengers and crew disembarked using the craft's inflatable emergency slide.
During the incident, the hijackers killed Minister Hiram Mescher, his wife Beatrice Mescher, two security guards, and all three of Flight 356's pilots. At least two of the hijackers were killed by Hathaway and Kenneth, and the others were incapacitated and turned over to the authorities.
