Up and Running is a mission in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Agents of Sabotage update. It is part of the Oscar Guzman Flies Again mission strand.
Description
After accepting the mission, Oscar Guzman will provide the player with an SMG Mk II, a Sniper Rifle and a Manchez for the job. The mission is to intercept a Streamer216 plane used by the Varrios Los Aztecas to transport weapons, steal their cargo and sell it to a buyer.
Oscar sends the location of a mountain trail on Mount Gordo, leading to a transmission tower used by the Aztecas to hide their flight path from government radar. The area where the tower is located is deemed as a dangerous place with reports of cougar attacks, and cougars near the tower will attack the player on sight, but only if they're on foot. They can be killed by either using weapons or running them over with a vehicle. The player is instructed to shoot the base of the tower, which is supported by fragile concrete.
is flying at a low altitude. Use this opportunity to damage it.After destroying the transmission tower's support, it falls down the mountain and the Aztecas are forced to fly the target Streamer216 at a lower altitude to stay under the radar, allowing the player to hit it with their weapons.
The player must damage the plane using weapons for the cargo to be dropped. They must collect four crates before the plane leaves the airspace. The pilot will send a distress signal and the Aztecas reinforcements will show up in land vehicles, making it difficult for the player to chase it down.
or continue damaging the Aztecas' Streamer216 until all the cargo is offloaded.After collecting all of the cargo, Oscar will send the location of a buyer in Cape Catfish. As the player leaves the area, Oscar notices a large unidentified aircraft on the radar, launching an aerial attack using its three explosive turrets, and destroying the cargo they have just sold.
Trivia
- The difficulty chosen in this mission will define the difficulty level for the whole run. If the player wishes to change difficulty, they can call Oscar to cancel the progress and start over.
- Note that this can only be done after the first run.
- Despite what Oscar said, the Streamer216 can be destroyed without failing the mission, and the game will reward RP to the player who did so.
- This may be challenging, however, as the Streamer216 raises altitude and becomes immune to missile lock-on after offloading all of its cargo.
