Stockyard is a neighborhood located in Vice City, Vice-Dale County, Leonida, that is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Description

Stockyard first appeared in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks, with the neighborhood name visible on the HUD in the bottom right as Lucia approaches the area in a ute, coming from Crosstown.[1] The neighborhood was then officially featured in the first trailer, with a shot showcasing a car meet in the district, while also being mentioned by name on a highway sign along U.S. Route 3.[2]

Influence

The neighborhood appears to be based on the neighborhood of Wynwood in Miami, Florida, particularly its art sub-district. The name seemingly references Wynwood's original purpose of being a working-class warehouse district surrounded by railroad tracks up until the early 2000s.[3]
