“Designed to traverse extreme terrain, the Crescent has evolved into the Goo's long-range artillery unit. They have the ability to fling small unformed balls of Goo over long distances. These projectiles explode on contact, and have large corrosive areas of effect.” — Singleton[1] |
The Crescent is a Goo siege unit.[2]
Background
The Crescent's original purpose was to facilitate Goo replication by rapidly spreading nanites over a large area. These nanites could then consume nearby fuel to quickly replicate. The Crescent uses the same delivery system to fire giant corrosive balls of Goo at very long distances, which clings to units and structures. The Crescent is so good at flinging Goo, its attack can travel an extreme distance before finding its target, making hunting down these artillery very costly.
Overview
An assault unit, the Crescent is able to fling projectiles over large distances. Upon contact, these projectiles explode, covering a large area with a deadly substance.
Tips
- Crescents can climb on high terrain, making them extremely dangerous to enemies without aerial units or artillery.
- Aim for clustered groups of units to maximize the damage over time from the goo puddle.
- Crescents have extremely long range and can use ground-targeting to fire at enemies beyond your field of vision.
Tech upgrades

Symbiotic pool The corrosive pool left by the Crescent now also heals allied units standing in the puddle. Does not heal formless goo. |

Projectile endurance The Crescent's projectile can no longer be shot down by enemy anti-air but its damage and radius is reduced. |
