The God who created Kricktria had returned to find the world enveloped by ancient malignant spirits. He expunged the spirits from the world and then created avatars of himself to help stabilize the dimension.
Though these avatars were not gods nor humans, they each had their own will along with individual abilities and personalities. Once the world had been deemed safe, the god left for a different world. Over time, the avatars lost their power and went into resting.
And bit by bit, the existence of the avatars disappeared from the people's memories.
As one of the god's avatars, Poseidon was created to repel the malignant spirits in the Deep Sea. Her vitality is as great as her ability to endure the cold of the Deep Seas and has strong defensive power.
The merpeople called Poseidon the god of the Sea in reverence of her abilities to repel the malignant spirits and in her slumber, they built a temple and continued to serve her.

As a boss
Corrupted Poseidon can be fought as the first boss in Epilogue 1.7: Fire and Ice.
Attacks
As the Corrupted Poseidon, she accumulates 'Frost Breath' to an adjacent enemy. 'Frost Breath' decreases allies' recovery rate and reduction rate increases per stack. She will also create a permanent 'Icy Hurricane' that deals damage over time. The player must use smart positioning to lead the hurricane in the right direction, away from the battlefield.
While battling Corrupted Poseidon, the 'Frostbite' debuff stack will be applied every 10 seconds. This debuff will decrease both attack and movement speed. When Corrupted Balzac appears, he will apply a 'Flame Lord' debuff stack to nearby enemies once all 'Frostbite' debuff stacks are removed. 'Flame Lord' increases damage dealt by Corrupted Poseidon's 'Ice Pillar' spell per stack.
Dimensional Chasm
Dark Poseidon takes the appearance of Corrupted Poseidon in her Chasm and has her received basic attack damage reduced by 50%.

- Poseidon is named after the eponymous god of the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses in Greek mythology.
- Players occasionally confuse Poseidon with Partusay who was also based on the same Greek god.
- Poseidon's character portrait is based on her final stage evolution, Spear of the Deep Sea.
- Spear of the Deep Sea is also known as Abyssal Spear.
- Guardian shares the same name with Ronan's Breakthrough avatar and Rares's first stage evolution.
