Fire Flies is a song by Gorillaz, and the ninth track and fourth single from their sixth studio album, The Now Now.
Background
Fire Flies originated from a demo written during the Humanz Tour titled London. This demo was seven minutes long, resulting in it being split into two tracks: the longest and more upbeat section was reworked into Sorcererz (originally titled 'The Sorcererz', which remained its predecessor on the final version of the album) while the more calm and melancholic ending ventured into Fire Flies.
The single was released digitally on 14 June 2018 with an accompanying visualiser, featuring aperances from 2-D, Russel, Noodle and Ace.
