Muriel is a supporting character in Season 2 of the Prime Video series Good Omens and the current owner of Aziraphale's bookshop.
Personality
Muriel is shown to be excited when they were first send to earth since, as a low rank angel, they don't dispose of big duties in heaven and is normally called around just for being a "butler" to the high ranked angels as Uriel, Saraqael or Michael. Muriel is very clueless on humanity and the earth itself, being books one of the things that they find interesting, in their words: "books are like transportable aknowledge that you can bring anywhere in form of pages".
Background
Muriel is a low ranking Angel. They aren’t called upon for anything important, except for once every couple hundred years. Muriel is a 37th degree recording Angel scrivener, and very clueless about Earth.
Significance in series
Muriel is literally like Crowley and Aziraphale's child in a metaphorical sense. They currently own Aziraphale's book shop which gives them a matter of significance. Though a supporting character, they may become of even more importance through later seasons.
