Legion's are creatures created with Vanir magic by the Goddess Freya.
God of War (2018)
Legion is the name of the creatures created with Vanir magic by Freya to stop the confrontation between Kratos and Baldur at the end of their adventure. Its behavior is the same as that of the Brood. They attack in large groups and launch themselves at Kratos to try to immobilize him. They are easy to defeat.
Appearance
Legions have a distinct, organic appearance that resemble that of a humanoid tree (Likely because they were created by the Goddess Freya, this shows her connection to nature). They have textured bark-like skin, merging shades of brown and green with elongated fingers. Additionally they have glowing yellow eyes.

Freya always seems to have more and more magic up her sleeve. First she used her roots to try to restrain Father and Baldur, but they were too strong. Then she reanimated Thamur—the Giant Stone Mason! That was incredible, but it still didn't work. Baldur kept trying to kill Freya, and we couldn't let that happen. So we kept fighting, and Freya summoned these weird creatures. They kept trying to grab Father to keep him from fighting. Luckily, they go down easily. There sure are a lot of them though...

Very similar to the offspring in terms of appearance, but with the benefit of poison. It is not clear whether the legion was created from the original offspring or if it is a product of Vanir experimentation (which is not completely ruled out).
Trivia
- Their attacks can poison you. You have to be very careful with their jump attack.
- The legion explodes upon death. You can take advantage of it to take down nearby enemies.
