Pompeii by Bastille is featured in The Untitled Rachel Berry Project, the twentieth and final episode of Season Five. It is sung by Artie, Blaine, Brittany, Kurt, Mercedes, Rachel, and Sam.
This song is performed as the final song of the season; with a montage of many pivotal moments during the episode, such as: Brittany and Mercedes leaving New York to go on tour, Sam returning to Lima, Ohio and William McKinley High School, Blaine moving back into the Bushwick Apartment and Rachel finding out that her television pilot had been picked up and her move to Los Angeles. This all is intertwined with clips of them all singing together running down the streets of NYC.
Lyrics

Blaine with Alumni:
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Rachel:
I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show
Kurt:
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
Sam (Alumni):
But if you close your eyes (Eh-oh, eh-oh)
Does it almost feel like (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
Nothing's changed at all? (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
Artie and Brittany with Alumni (Alumni):
And if you close your eyes (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
Does it almost feel like (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
You've been here before? (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
Kurt with Blaine:
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Sam:
We were caught up and lost in all of our vices
Mercedes with Sam:
In your pose as the dust settled around us
Artie and Mercedes:
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
Brittany and Mercedes (Alumni):
But if you close your eyes (Eh-oh, eh-oh)
Does it almost feel like (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
Nothing's changed at all? (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)
And if you close your eyes (Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh)

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Alumni:
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Eh, eh-oh, eh-oh, eh, eh-oh, eh-oh
Rachel (with Kurt):
Oh where do we begin?
(The rubble or our sins?)
Alumni:
Oh where do we begin?
Rachel with Alumni:
The rubble or our sins?
Sam (Mercedes with Alumni):
And the walls kept tumbling down (Oh where do we begin?)
In the city that we love (The rubble or our sins?)

(Oh) How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

If you close your eyes (Eh-oh, eh-oh)
