Jī (じい) or Jīji (じいじ), both meaning "grandpa" or "elderly man", is a character who appeared in Princess Mononoke.
He is the watchman of the Emishi Village. He is also an elder in the village, who decides the future of his clan. With grief he agrees that Ashitaka should leave the village to find a cure for his curse.
