Hyo (ヒョウ, Hyō) is a character in Gachiakuta. She was a trainee for the Hell Guard alongside Zanka.
Appearance
Hyo is a girl of above average height and has fair skin. She has white hair with a inverse bob cut, light eyes with no pupils, and long eyelashes.
She is seen initially wearing the standard Hell Guard trainee uniform, which is similar to a kyūdō outfit. The bottom resembles a hakama, the top is akin to a shitagi, and it is all cinched together with an exaggerated obi for the belt.
Later, Hyo is seen wearing a sleeveless black cropped shirt with a black fur line around the neck, baggy black pants with slits along the legs, and military boots. She also wears black lipstick, black gloves, and spiky earrings. She has cylindrical container and her katana rests below the container, sitting on her lower back.

Personality
Hyo has a very self-assured, serious and quiet demeanor, taking her time at the Hell Guard Training Academy seriously. Blunt and practical, she shows little interest in the "Golden Throne", not seeing how a chair could be so special.
Some time after days as a trainee, Hyo has a more despondent expression and talks in strange terms, such as "stimulate my hippocampus" while talking wanting something to do.
Synopsis
History
As a child, Hyo grew up in the Slums. She was recruited to join the hell guard because of her exceptional talent.[1]
After she joined the Hell Guard training camp she was able to outmatch every student in her class in a mock battle including Zanka who was previously at the top of the class to the other students disgruntlement, Zanka especially who screamed in anger at being beaten but Hyo overhead this and questioned why he wants to sit on the golden throne, calling him out for only wanting it because he wants people to think he’s amazing, which makes Zanka face reality and accept that he’s not special. As Hyo adjusted to the academy, her fellow students displayed a mixture resentment and interest Hyo due to her talent.[2]
Later on the class was give a choice to pick a weapon, Hyo opted to use a Katana[3]
Plot
Trash Storm Arc
In the aftermath of Noerde’s fall from the Trash beast, she discovered her body.[4]
First Job Arc
In Genia, East Ward, in the abandoned city of Klutess Town, Hyo wanderes around, repeatedly saying that she needs a job to ‘stimulate the hippocampus,’ when she suddenly chances upon a poster for the Doll Festival.[5]
Abilities
Despite her background, Hyo is extremely talented and was able to defeat every student in her class, despite them having trained for years. She is said to possess an unusual fighting style, which made it difficult for her classmates to read her moves.
Relationships
Zanka
While Zanka privately viewed her as a rival, Hyo is uninterested in him, at least during their trainee days. While cordial to Zanka when they spoke, Hyo calls him out for pursuing the "Golden Throne" because he wants people to think he’s amazing.
As Hyo bested him combat and saw her gifted skill, Zanka holds Hyo as a benchmark of skill. Even after beating a gigantic Trash Beast alone, Zanka says it isn't enough to keep up with Hyo.
