Loot Lake was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that came back in Chapter 4: Season OG with the island Athena. Loot Lake was a huge shallow lake that is hiding a secret.
History
Update v27.00
- Loot Lake has returned along with Athena, due to Time Travel.
- 2 additional islands with Ziplines were added, to help players get across the water.
- November 9th 2023: The island in the middle of the lake rises up once again and becomes the Floating Island.
- The Time Machine has moved near the lake. Slone's Audio Recorder can be found near the machine.
- Quadcrashers and Driftboards can now spawn here.
Update v27.10
- The energy of The Zero Point is now emanating from the vortex.
- The Time Machine has moved away.
Update v27.11
- November 23rd 2023: The Zero Point appeared under the Cube. The Cube appears to be draining energy from The Zero Point.
- The Ballers can now spawn here.
- Quadcrashers were vaulted.
The Big Bang
- Loot Lake was sucked into The Black Hole once again.

Loot Lake was a Landmark in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Chapter 3: Season 1 to the island Artemis. Loot Lake was a huge lake that was hiding a secret.
History
Update v20.30
- May 10th 2022: IO Airship - Tilted crashed into the waters of Loot Lake, creating Tilted Touchdown.
Update v20.40
- The Imagined Order built a dam, creating a base surrounding their newly built Doomsday Machine - The Collider.
- Due to the construction of the dam, the rivers flowing through Sleepy Sound and the Sanctuary have dried.
- Huntmaster Saber and Doctor Slone now spawn here as
Bosses.
Collision
- The Collider and the base surrounding it were destroyed by The Mech, piloted by The Paradigm.
Update v22.00
- Loot Landing was changed to the iconic Chapter 1 Loot Lake house. A Sideways Rift can be seen above it.
- Tilted Touchdown disappeared.
- Most of the party decorations around The Glow were removed.
- Haven was replaced by Bao Bros.
- A Vault was added inside of the Large Outpost.
Update v22.20
- Motorboats were vaulted.
Update v22.30
- Motorboats were unvaulted.
Update v22.40
- Chrome reached Loot Lake and Floaties Boats.
Fracture
- Loot Lake was removed following the explosion of Reality Zero.
Trivia
- Loot Lake could have been the only source of water outside the Ocean, as when the lake's water is cut, the rivers leading towards Sleepy Sound and Sanctuary are all dried up.
- Loot Lake was considered as a "Swamp Area" in the Fishing Collection Book.

Chapter 3: Season 1
- Update v19.00: Loot Lake has returned as a Landmark. The lakeside is covered in snow.
- Update v19.10:
- January 21st, 2022: Most of the snow on the shores of Loot Lake melted.
Chapter 3: Season 2
- Update v20.00: Loot Lake has been claimed by the Imagined Order's territory.
- Update v20.40: Loot Lake is cut off in the east to fit The Collider.
- Content Update v20.40: Klombo hibernating spots were moved near Loot Lake.
Chapter 3: Season 3
- Update v21.00: The Collider has been destroyed and The Glow now takes its place. Loot Lake is also now glowing with The Zero Point energy. Loot Lake has also increased its water area near the south east side.

Loot Lake was a Named Location in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Pre-Season to the island Athena. Loot Lake was a huge shallow lake that was hiding a secret.
History
Update v4.00
- An unbreakable chunk of the comet that crashed into Dusty Depot crashed into Loot Lake.
Update v4.30
- An Omega poster was added to Loot Lake.
- A dancing platform and disco ball were added inside the Northern Factory.
Update v5.00
- The Omega poster was removed.
Update v5.10
- Dance platforms and disco ball on the Loot Lake warehouse were removed.
The Cube Sinking
Update v6.00
- The island in the middle of the lake rises up and starts floating over it, creating a big maelstorm at its former location. The CUBE appears at the bottom of the newly-created floating island. The color of the lake changes back to blue and it's surface loses its bounciness.
- Loot Lake no longer appears named in the in-game map.
Update v6.02
- Loot Lake was renamed to Leaky Lake.
Update v7.00
- Leaky Lake was renamed back to Loot Lake.
Update v7.10
- December 24th 2018: Loot Lake became an unnamed POI on playground.
- December 25th 2018: Loot Lake was covered in snow for Christmas Day.
- December 26th 2018: The snow disappeared.
- Loot Lake became a named POI on playground after the removal of Challenge Games.
Update v7.20
- January 19th 2019: Loot Lake was covered in snow in the aftermath of the Ice Storm Event.
Update v7.30
- February 1st: The snow melted from Loot Lake.
Update v8.20
- April 5th 2019: Excavators have begun working on a dig site by Loot Lake.
- April 7th 2019: An unbreakable metal structure was found at the bottom of the excavation site.
Update v8.30
- A Reboot Van was added to Loot Lake.
- April 15th 2019: Excavators moved closer to the center of Loot Lake.
Update v8.40
- The central part of the lake has been dried, and several watchtowers and research facilities had been constructed around it by the organization. The excavators have revealed what appears to be an indestructible metal hatch in the middle of the lake. Many trucks and cars belonging to the organization as well as a few police cars have appeared near the lake. The CUBE fragments had vanished.
- April 18th: A yellow runic symbol had appeared at one of the plates attached to the metal hatch.
- April 21st: Another ruin symbol has appeared on a plate of Loot Lake's metal door.
- The floating rune has gone inside a Loot Lake metal door hatch, and caused a light to come out of it.
- April 22nd: A new floating island with a rune symbol has appeared already floating above Loot Lake, it however cannot be damaged yet.
- April 23rd: The lasers have connected with the rune above Loot Lake, and caused it to go inside a metal door hatch. Another Rune has appeared.
Update v8.50
- One of the government setups in Loot Lake now has a chalkboard in it, which displays a possible theory that the hatch is a vault of some sort.
- April 26th: The rune moved from the Dance Club and to Loot Lake, where it went into one of the hatches and activated it.
- The room with the chalkboard in Loot Lake has several screens on it, one of them shows a Bouncer.
- April 28th: The 4th Rune Symbol has now appeared at Loot Lake.
- The Rune at the Tilted Towers hills teleported to Loot Lake and activated into one of the the slots from it, causing the volcano to smoke even more.
- April 30th: A new rune symbol has appeared above the final Loot Lake door hatch.
- April 31st: A room inside one of the Loot Lake government hatches seems to have a picture of a X-4 Stormwing on it.
- May 1st: Another picture has been revealed in the Loot Lake hatch, revealing a Tactical Submachine Gun.
Update v8.51
- A new screen has appeared in the Loot Lake chalkboard room.
- May 3rd: The final rune from the volcano teleported to Loot Lake and entered the last hatch. A new, 24 hour countdown timer has appeared above the hatch similar to Season 4 and Season 7.
The Unvaulting Event
- The countdown at Loot Lake expired, The Vault has opened, sending players back to The In-Between. Soon after players exited the realm, the smoke from the volcano had covered the sky and soon began to erupt. Retail Row, Polar Peak and Tilted Towers were hit by the blasts and were severely damaged.
Update v9.00
- The Vault was turned into a power source for Neo Tilted. The lake is also starting to overgrow.
- The Factories were upgraded by The Government.
- There is also a Slipstream line running next to the factories.
Update v9.30
- The Devourer attacked The Government-owned buildings at Loot Lake. A footprint has been left in the tarmac
- The wire connecting to Neo Tilted was slightly damaged during the incident.
- A Snow Cones truck can be found at the north west corner of Loot Lake.
- July 2nd 2019: A giant rubber duck is coming to Loot Lake.
- July 7th 2019: The duck climbs the river, almost in the Loot Lake part.
- July 8th 2019: The duck is now swimming in Loot Lake.
Update v9.40
- July 17th 2019: The duck is now gone as the 14 Days of Summer Event ended.
The Final Showdown
- Mecha Team Leader smashed open The Vault and used The Zero Point power to defeat The Devoured.
Update v9.41
- July 24th 2019: The Zero Point turned slightly red. Rift sounds can be heard around it.
- July 25th 2019: The Zero Point above the resort has turned slightly purple and it has a blue aura around it.
- A Birthday Cake was added for Fortnite's 2nd Birthday.
- July 27th 2019: The Zero Point got brighter and is making strange heartbeat or clock noises. More particles is also coming off it.
- July 29th 2019: The Zero Point become very bright and has more particles coming out of it. There is also a lot of light coming out of it.
- July 30th 2019: The Zero Point is now pulsing and emitting a lot of very fast string-like particles. It is also extremely bright and flashing.
- July 31st 2023: The Birthday Cake was removed as Fortnite's 2nd Birthday ended.
Update v10.00
- Time around The Zero Point froze, creating an anti-gravity bubble with floating objects everywhere around it. Strange noises can be heard when inside it.
- The power cable is now inactive as The Zero Point is no longer inside of dirt-filled The Vault.
Update v10.10
- A new wrecked building appeared. It is a combination of one The Government buildings from Season 8 and destroyed factory from Season 9.
- One of the 2 CUBE Memorials appeared on one of the islands from The Butterfly Event.
Update v10.40
- The Zero Point started making clock-like ticking noises.
The End
- During the event, the giant rift caused multiple rockets as well as the meteor to rain down onto The Zero Point. This ultimately caused a massive explosion and created a black hole that sucked in the entire island.
