The Sleep Sword is a special Sword that appears exclusively in the Jugdral Series of the Fire Emblem franchise. It is imbued with the ability to inflict the Sleep status effect upon an enemy unit. The effect is stronger in Thracia 776, in which the target is always put to sleep upon being hit, as opposed to the uncertain chance it had to activate the effect in Genealogy of the Holy War. This is, however, undermined by the sword's decreased hit rate.
Interestingly enough, the official artwork of this sword bears an uncanny resemblance to that of the Sleep Staff, in which a humanoid appendage wrapped around an arcane cyan orb forms an integral fixture on both pieces of equipment, either posited on the hilt of the sword or the tip of the staff.
