Carpenter

In any case, merely holding a saw does not make you a carpenter, whatever some might think. You must become one with it, and learn to feel with it as you work the wood.

Beatin

The Carpenter is a Disciple of the Hand in Final Fantasy XIV.

Overview

The foremost workers of wood, carpenters possess expert knowledge of the hardness, pliability, weight, and value of all types of timber. Their creed is to bring these natural traits to bear in the form of various wares, from the implements of war to the tools of various trades.
The greatest advancements in the craft have been made in the Twelveswood, home to the highest quality timber in Eorzea. Gridanian carpentry produces everything from the masks used in their religious ceremonies to the enormous waterwheels erected throughout their city.

Lodestone

Carpenters specialize in synthesizing timber into wooden arms and furniture. The arms they make mostly benefit guilds in Gridania, the Lancers', Conjurers', and Archers'. Carpenters could also craft tools for other classes, like Spinning Wheels for Weavers and Grinding Wheels used by Goldsmiths. For the most part, Carpenters need to source material from Botanists and Blacksmiths in the form of lumber and rivets, respectively. They can also manufacture some kinds of footwear used by adventurers as well as wooden shields.

Their specialization in timber lets them prepare chopped logs into processed lumber used by many Disciples of the Hand. They also can create various furniture, including the walls of wood style housing. Woodworking techniques were, and continue to be, developed and refined by the shipbuilding endeavors of Limsa Lominsa, as well as the towering architectural pursuits of Ishgard. However, it is in and around Gridania, home to the highest quality timber, that the craft's greatest strides have been made.

Equipment

FFXIV Stormblood Carpenter

Carpenters use saws as their primary tool and claw hammers as their secondary. Their armor is primarily made up of "Crafting" gear that they share with other disciples of the hand. Crafting gear provides bonuses to the craftsmanship, control, and CP attributes. Craftsmanship and control respectively improve their progress and quality gains when crafting. CP is the resource they use in place of MP for their abilities.
