Rot gut is a consumable item in Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics.

- Can be found in Gecko, the Spittoon in Vault City, and the bar in Broken Hills.
- Carried by the super mutant drunkard Elmo.
- If John Cassidy, the bartender, joins one's party, he may have this in his inventory.
- Can be bought from the hermit special encounter.
- One in a locked footlocker in the mercenaries' cave.
- Two in Tuco's locker in the mercenaries' cave.
- One in Blondie's locked footlocker in the mercenaries' cave.
- One in a bookshelf in a back room in the Malamute Saloon in Redding Downtown.
- Two in bookcases in Louis Salvatore's office in Second Street.
- One in a desk in John Bishop's bedroom in the Shark Club.
