Ben Carnow

Benjamin "Ben" Carnow is a developer who worked at Bethesda Game Studios on Fallout 3, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 in character animation and art.

Work on the Fallout series

For Fallout 3, Carnow created the model for the plasma rifle, among other weapons.[1] He also created the model for the trogs used in Fallout 3's add-on The Pitt, which was the first creature he had designed for a game.[2][3]

Carnow also worked on some weapon designs for Fallout 4, alongside Dane Olds.[4] For Fallout 4's add-ons, Carnow created the gulpers in Far Harbor[5] and the SCAV! raider magazines in Nuka-World.[6] For Fallout 76, Carnow modeled Excavator power armor, the Gatling plasma and the Pip-Boy 2000 Mark VI, as well as several creature designs.[7]

  5. Ben Carnow on Twitter: "Fallout show was rad. Fun fact, I created the Gulper from (in the games) on a very accelerated schedule for an internal game jam. It would have been amazing to see my design in the show, but I honestly love when there are regional differences to creatures. Hellbender vs Axlotl."
