Ice-Make (氷の造形魔法 Aisu Meiku) is a Caster Magic, a type of Molding Magic and variation of Ice Magic that involves the creation of objects using ice.
Description

This is a type of Molding Magic which utilizes the element of ice. The user can create a variety of objects out of ice to be used for offensive,[6] defensive[6] or miscellaneous purposes.[7] They can also freeze and reshaped Water users who are in their liquid form into various Ice-Make creations.[8] Outside of combat, the user can also change their surroundings using ice, such as covering the ground with ice.[9] The ice also can be used as wound dressing, staunching bleeding and preventing the swelling of an injury[10] or even replace a missing limb like a leg to continue standing.[11]
Skilled users of Ice-Make are capable of molding and shaping foreign ice made by someone else, using any of its properties to their advantage, such as channeling the Magic of one’s ice through their body and striking it at targets,[12] or even emulating the ice of others and mixing it with their own.[13] On top of that, a flexibility of Ice-Make allows its users to "replicate" properties of other elements, like fire[14], or even freeze the entire air around the user, leading to lungs freezing of people in the area.[15]
The ice formed from this Magic is highly durable, withstanding heat even from a fiery explosion.[16] Even creations made from a single hand that are weaker and unbalanced by comparison[17] can still restrain a Fire Dragon Slayer whose basic fire was unable to melt it at the time.[18] Interestingly, the ice's durability weakens the further away it gets from its caster.[19]
Users of this Magic are trained in cold environments to build up a natural resistance to the cold itself to a certain degree, becoming one with the element in question.[20]
There are currently two known types of Ice-Make Magic. The first one is called Static Ice-Make.[21] This type of Ice-Make is characterized by the creation of inanimate objects, such as weapons, or by affecting the environment around them.[6]
The second type is called Dynamic Ice-Make.[21] This type of Ice-Make focuses on creating animated ice sculptures, usually in the form of living creatures and control their movement.[6] Dynamic Ice-Make is said to be quicker to cast than Static Ice-Make.

Trivia
- In the anime, the color of the ice appears to vary between each user: Gray's is blue, Lyon's is green, both Ur and Ultear's are purple and an unnamed female Mage had white ice. Although, there are scenes where both Lyon and Ur's ice are blue as well.
