Raven is a character featured in the novel Fable: Theresa, and can be considered the antagonist of said story.
Background
Raven is a legendary will user of old, whose power was so great that caused some to claim that he was a descendant of gods and that he carved the entire region around the Ravenwing mountains from the bedrock itself using only his will.
As his name suggests, Raven adopted physical traits of the birds he shares the same name with; besides, the source where he must extract his willpower is other’s grief, angst and spiritual remorse just like ravens feed upon the physical wounded and dead.
“ | It... was well over six feet tall, lean and stooped and rail thin. Its clothing consisted of a long, sleek black robe, and its hands were obscured in the folds of its wide sleeves. And its head ... was it a head? Or was it a mask, further serving to obscure its gender and true nature? The mask, which is what I decided it was but could still be wrong, was that of a bird. A raven, with sleek black feathers and a pointed beak and eyes that seemed to burn into me. — Theresa's descripition of Raven's appearance |

Story
Raven spent centuries secluded inside of the underground galleries beneath the Ravenwing mountains after molding the region ages before.
However his peace is interrupted by the arrival of the seer Theresa and a hero Elijah Stane, both after a cure for a little girl’s uncontrollable powers that are destroying her mind. The two roamed through the region until finding the entrance to Raven’s lair and, upon entering the cave, are sadistically tested by Raven, who uses his powers to make the two face their worst fears. Elijah is forced to defend him and Theresa from hordes of hollow men (his greatest fear) and Theresa sight is suddenly restored but her powers disappear.
While fighting their way through the cave, Theresa’s conscience is taken away by Raven to a realm where he proceeds to interrogate Theresa's motivations in curing the girl.
“ | You have entered my realm. These caves, this entire arena, is of my devising and creation. Reality bends itself to my will, and nothing occurs here that I do not desire. This is my place of power, and here there is only one question that truly matters... — Raven |

Theresa begs for his help to save Anne from her fate and Raven agrees to help, materializing a magical potion able to make the girl's powers to fade. However, Raven’s help would come with a price, and as he needed grief to refuel his will he ordered Theresa not to interfere with the events that destiny had settled to soon happen or else the potion would be gone forever.
Even though Theresa hasn’t understood such words she was sent back to the main word with her eyesight once again gone and her powers restored. Elijah then says that he has found an exit from the cave and Theresa notices with her magical abilities that the path he found was actually a trap with rockmites hidden in the shadows waiting to kill anyone who ended up getting close.
Struck by angst on whether she should let Elijah get killed or sacrificing Anne’s cure, Theresa understand that this is Raven’s price, but before she was able to make her mind Elijah stepped ahead and sacrificed himself to the creatures, fulfilling the bargain and allowing Theresa to keep the cure.
As Theresa exits the cave, Raven manically laughs from within the mountain and she notices how he sounded like a crow's caw.
