Initial D is a Japanese street racing manga series created by Shuichi Shigeno. The series was adapted into an anime series from 1998 to 2014, and prominently featured a Eurobeat soundtrack playing over its high-energy races. Many albums have been released of the series' Eurobeat soundtrack, most of which were released under the Super Eurobeat presents label.
The series inspired many memes where songs from its soundtrack are played over cars drifting or crashing at high speeds. The most prominent of these songs are "Running In The 90s" by Max Coveri, "Gas Gas Gas" by Manuel, "The Top" by Ken Blast and "Deja Vu" by Dave Rodgers.
In 2003, there was an English dub made by the American company Tokyopop, this version removed and replaced the Eurobeat soundtrack with rap and hip hop tracks made the CEO of the company.
Official Soundtrack Albums
Most official albums were released by Avex Trax, usually under the Super Eurobeat Presents name. The Arcade Tracks was released by A-One Records.
