Snake

EarthBound Beginnings

The Snake is an enemy in EarthBound Beginnings. It can be encountered at the beginning of the game in Podunk and its northern region. It only attacks physically. The Magic Herb has a 1/16 chance of dropping from the Snake. This enemy's battle theme is Battle with a Flippant Foe.

Defensively, the Snake has 18 HP and 8 DEFENSE. Offensively, it has 6 OFFENSE, 5 FIGHT, and 10 SPEED. Its resilience to Status Ailments is 1 WISDOM, 10 STRENGTH, and 1 FORCE. It drops 2 EXP and $8 when defeated.

Ninten starts off with at least 7 in every stat after fighting the Doll. It is recommended to equip the Plastic Bat due to Ninten's low level early on. Until the next level up, the Snake will only be slightly behind in overall resilience, but lacks offensive strength. The superior version of this enemy is the Red Snake and Rattlesnake.
