Ezrael, or Azrael, is a purple wyrm who is Three's Watcher and protector.

Story

Ezrael is summoned by a deranged Three to combat Zero and Mikhail. Mikhail comments on Ezrael's appearance, stating that it's an ancient dragon all the while becoming fearful of it.

The Wyrm's power and speed prove too much for Mikhail to make even a dent. Decadus sacrifices his human form to summon Armaros and trap Ezrael, slowing it down and giving Mikhail a fighting chance. Following its defeat in battle, Ezrael and Mikhail have a face-off, wherein Three and Ezrael are immolated by Mikhail's flames.

Abilities

Being a wyrm, Ezrael has access to far more abilities than a typical dragon. And because he is a daemon like Gabriel and Zophiel, Ezrael's true strength is greatly increased. He can shoot powerful breaths of fire and strengthen his blasts with magic. He can also use this magic to teleport from one place to another.

  • Ezrael is the name of the Angel of Death.
  • Ezrael's particle attacks are similar to the magic attacks in NIER.
  • Ezrael is the second wyrm to appear in the series.
