After Beta 1 finds himself outmatched by Trunks under the guise of Saiyaman X-1, he touches a button on his belt that causes Beta 2, a Battle Jacket that also operates as a separate android, to appear. After Beta 1 spots the data disc in a school bag being carried by Mai he attempts to kidnap her, leaving the bottom half of the Battle Jacket, Beta 2, behind in order to stall Trunks. However Goten, as Saiyaman X-2, stands in for him and easily defeats and destroys Beta 2.
