Super Spies is the 26th episode of Dora the Explorer from Season 2, as well as the Season 2 finale in airing order, due to the fact that episode was pushed back to 2007 for Season 4.
In production order, it's the 23rd episode of Season 2.
Super Spies Dora and Boots need the viewer's help using their Spy Gadgets, from a pair of Spy Glasses to a Swiper Detector, to stop Swiper from swiping Isa's special cupcakes!
Plot
Dora and Boots are super spies and they play I-Spy. Later, they find Señor Tucán wearing sunglasses, who is the super spy commander that gives his Super Spy soldiers a mission. Señor Tucán had a secret mission for Super Spies Dora and Boots. First, he shows them their super spy ID cards and super spy gadgets. There was spy glasses used for seeing hidden objects; rocket sneakers so they can blast off if they're stuck in something deep like a big hole or a pit; a spy phone so Dora & Boots can call their friends to get help; a spy rope used to swing down from high places, and finally there was a Swiper detector so if Swiper was close by, it will beep instead of listening a rustle. Now that they learned their spy gadgets, Señor Tucán gave Super Spies Dora & Boots their secret mission. They were given a blank piece of paper. Dora realized that the reason why the paper is blank is that the message was written in invisible ink. Señor Tucán gave them a spy pen which is used to uncover the messages that was written in invisible ink. Señor Tucán wished them a good luck on their secret mission and left. Dora and Boots discovered the secret message hidden in a spy pen. The first picture was of their friend, Isa the Iguana. As they continued to uncover the message, they found a second picture: Isa's special cupcakes. This confirmed their suspicion that something was gonna happen to her cupcakes. When they finally revealed the entire message, they saw a picture of Swiper. The secret was clear: Swiper is gonna try to steal Isa's special cupcakes. As Super Spies, Dora and Boots knew their mission was to warn Isa about the impending danger. Dora will wear the spy phone, Boots will wear the Swiper detector and Backpack got to hold the rest of the spy gadgets. Dora & Boots were ready for the secret mission. But first, they had to figure out where to find Isa and her cupcakes. They asked Agent Map for help. Agent Map says that Isa and her cupcakes are at her flowery garden. But before they can get there, they had to go through a hidden door camouflaged in the bushes and through the secret jungle. Dora and Boots are now ready to go on their secret mission to save Isa's cupcakes before Swiper gets them. They got going and started searching for the hidden door. They couldn't see it because it was camouflaged in the bushes. So Dora & Boots look in Backpack for a spy gadget that can help them see the hidden door. They get out the spy glasses. Dora puts them on and the hidden door was found. Boots tried to open the door but it couldn't open. Dora said that they needed a secret password to open the door. The secret password was "abre" which was the Spanish word for "open", but in whisper mode. Dora and Boots whispered the secret password and the door opens. Suddenly, instead of hearing the rustling sound, the Swiper Detector started beeping. Dora & Boots quickly went through the door and now they had to close it. Once they closed the door, it disappears. Swiper shrugs and wondered where the hidden door went. Now he can't find it because he doesn't have any spy glasses. Swiper runs away and the spy glasses were put back inside Backpack. Dora and Boots continue on their secret mission. Dora and Boots saw a tree and thought the path was blocked but once the branches were pushed out of the way, they slid down the path and fell into a deep hole. They tried walking up, but they slipped back down. They tried again, but they slipped down again and couldn't get out. Dora & Boots look in Backpack for a spy gadget that will help them get out of the hole. They found out that the rocket sneakers is just the right spy gadget Dora & Boots can use. They put them on their feet so they can blast out of the hole. They counted down from 5-1 to blast off. In no time, Dora and Boots blasted out of the hole. They take their rocket sneakers off, put them into Backpack and continued their secret mission on the path. Super Spies Dora & Boots reached the secret jungle and there was a sign telling them they needed a boat car (which is a special kind of car that rides on water and drives on land) to get through. Dora calls Tico on the spy phone and explained they needed help to get through the secret jungle. Tico was dressed in secret agent apparel. Dora & Boots climbed into Tico's boat car. Dora, Boots and Tico whisper the secret password so they can go through the secret jungle. They whispered "Abre" and a secret entrance appears and opened 3 different ways: The 1st door rises up, the 2nd door split in half horizontally, and the 3rd door swings open. The boat car drives through the secret jungle. Super spies Dora & Boots saw spiders and snakes and they had to be careful. They told Tico "cuidado" for "watch out". Tico dodged a spider, a snake and another spider. The boat car drives up to the pond. Tico turns his car into a boat and rides along the water and then it turned back into a car. Dora & Boots told Tico "gracias" for "thank you" and then a door lifts up and the boat car drives out of the secret jungle and then the door lowers down to the ground and mysteriously disappears. Super spies Dora & Boots were getting close to finding Isa and her special cupcakes in the flowery garden. The Swiper Detector beeps and saw Swiper down below! He must have jumped over the camouflaged bushes after they closed the hidden door and no one was looking! Super spies Dora & Boots had to figure out how to get down to the flowery garden to save Isa's cupcakes. They get out the spy rope from backpack and decided that they can swing down the spy rope to get to Isa's cupcakes before Swiper gets to them. There were three trees of different sizes, but they wrap the spy rope around the biggest one and then rope stretches down and wraps around a big rock. The spy rope activates into a sitting zip-line. This is where Dora & Boots sit down and zip down on the spy rope. They kicked their feet on the ground and down they went. After Dora & Boots zipped down the spy rope, they had to find Isa. Sure enough, they found her and they warned her that Swiper was going to try to eat and swipe her cupcakes. The Swiper Detector beeped once more and Swiper was close by, but they managed to stop Swiper by saying "Swiper, no swiping" 3 times. He says "Oh man!" and runs far, far away. Dora and Boots defended Isa's cupcakes from Swiper and defeated him. Señor Tucán congratulated Super Spies Dora and Boots by completing their mission and they all had a bite of some of Isa's cupcakes.
This is the final appearance of Dora's "Season 2, Version 2" (both airing and production order), "Season 2, Version 3" (airing order), "Season 2, Version 4" (airing order), "Season 2, Version 5" (airing order), and "Season 2, Version 6" (airing order) looks.
Dora and Boots do a secret handshake where Boots makes a fist and pounds Dora's fist and then they high-five each other.

Benny doesn't appear in this episode, but his picture appears on the spy phone.

This is the last episode (in both airing and production order) to use the valley background when Dora and Boots are talking about their favorite parts.
Dora and Boots somehow stop Swiper throughout the episode but they don't say "Swiper, no swiping!" during the episode until the end when they're at the Flowery Garden.
This is the only Season 2 episode to premiere in 2007.
If one looks closely, the Swiper Detector lights up just as the Hidden Door opens.
This is the first time during the Travel Song in which when Dora and Boots are saying where they are going, they strike poses that allude to each place mentioned.
This is the only episode to feature Isa's Flowery Garden as the final destination.
Dora and Boots stop Swiper the first time without saying "Swiper, no swiping!" three times, they never had the need to stop him that way because instead, they had the hidden door as their chance, they run through it, and close it on him just to prevent him from going through and for him not knowing where it is. Something similar to this happens in the Season 3 episode "¡Por Favor!".
This is the second episode to use the Season 3 art style, first being Egg Hunt.
Dora and Boots stop Swiper twice in this episode.
Dora and Boots checked Backpack three times in this episode, and they used all of their spy gadgets inside.
When Dora uses the picture pop-up sequence the first time, she does not review what she and Boots have to do to get to their goal, she instead asks the viewer where they have to go first. And she does not ask "So next comes...?" the second and third time, she instead asks "Where do we go next?".
This format will be used starting in Season 3.

It is unknown how Swiper got to the Flowery Garden after Dora and Boots closed the hidden door on him. However, it is possible that he jumped over the camouflaged bushes when no one is looking.
Despite this episode being on iTunes, it is not listed in Season 2, it is on "Dora the Explorer: Volume 9" and "Dora the Explorer: Swiper the Explorer". However, A Present for Santa, Whose Birthday is It?, and this episode are on other streaming providers on the Season 2 playlist. And on the Season 2 on YouTube, it actually lists this episode in Season 2, but it is called "Super Spies - part one".
This episode was part of the hour-long "Dora Undercover Spies" on March 14, 2008, with this airing first and Super Spies 2: The Swiping Machine airing next.
Although it premiered in 2007 on Nickelodeon and 2008 on DVD and Noggin, it was actually made in 2001 according to the credits.
After Dora, Boots, and Isa stop Swiper from swiping Isa's cupcakes, he says the longest "Oh, man!". He says "man" for approximately 5 seconds. The next two longest "Oh, man!" will later use in Star Mountain and Super Babies.
After Swiper is defeated, Señor Tucán says "¡Misión cumplida!" (mission complete). This will become the main catchphrase for Go, Diego, Go! once Diego completes his rescue and/or his adventure with Alicia, Dora and/or Baby Jaguar.
The same episode title was used as a video game for the Gameboy Advance.
Goofs/Errors
On the DVD version, it begins with the Season 3-4 opening sequence of the Dora the Explorer Theme Song with the Explorer Stars, Diego and Baby Jaguar, and Dora and Boots swinging on a vine instead.
Although this episode uses the seasons 1-2 intro on TV, iTunes, and Paramount+.
In some scenes, Dora has her Season 1 face.
iTunes lists this episode as "Super Spies, Pt. 1" under "Dora the Explorer: Volume 9". The "Pt. 1" is added. However, under "Dora the Explorer: Swiper the Explorer" on iTunes, the "Pt. 1" is left out, therefore this episode's title is listed as its real name. Also, YouTube lists it as "Super Spies - part one", very similar to iTunes in the Volume 9, except the word "part" is not abbreviated and it uses the word "one" instead of the "1" symbol.
When Boots says "So we can be safe", Dora was mouthing the words.
It is unknown what Swiper would swipe when appeared the first time. It could be the spy glasses, the spy phone, the Swiper detector, or all of them. Luckily, they stopped him anyway by closing the Hidden Door on him.
In the French credits for this episode, Azul's character find icon had Benny's French name listed, and Baby Red Fish's icon briefly switched to Boots' icon. Benny’s icon was supposed to be there.
