Sir Frido is a character created by Guido Martina and Romano Scarpa, appearing in the comic story "Peril of the Witch of Potions" in 1954 (translated and collected by Fantagraphics in 2017). He is the henchman of the Witch of Potions and an adversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
One year after their wedding, Snow White and Prince Charming organize a grand ball to celebrate their anniversary. Sir Frido accompanies the beautiful but vain fairy Honeysweet to the ball. During the event, Snow White gifts Honeysweet with a bouquet of flowers. Later, while dancing, a flower from the bouquet falls to the floor and causes Honeysweet to trip. Failing to maintain her poise and manners breaks her spell of false beauty, and the beautiful Honeysweet reverts to her true form -- the vile Witch of Potions.
Enraged, the Witch of Potions orders Frido to capture Snow White, but the young princess manages to outrun the witch's accomplice. The Witch of Potions takes Prince Charming as her prisoner and magically destroys the prince's castle. At her own castle, the Witch of Potions bestows Frido with a ring that enables him to change his appearance in order for him to track down Snow White.
Frido manages to capture Snow White, and the Witch of Potions attempts a ritual to steal the princess's beauty. However, the Dwarves ultimately rescue Snow White and shoot Frido with several of Queen Yunaka's quills. After his mistress is vanquished, Frido is not seen again.
