Mayra the Frog

Mayra the Frog is a musician frog that plays Afro-Cuban music for the Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction in the Disney Parks.

Background

Have you ever seen a frog play a flower blossom like a trumpet? You will when you meet Mayra; be sure to stick around for one of her toe-tapping solos. Mayra's the most ambitious of the four frogs and has been practicing her instrument since she was just a tadpole!

Development

An artwork of Mayra the Frog was revealed to be featured in the upcoming attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Therefore, the Imagineers are creating the animatronic of the frog to make her appearance in the attraction.

Mayra is first seen in the "Gonna Take You There" sequence, where she is sitting on a log staring at guests with other members of the Afro-Cuban Musicians.

She is later seen again in the "Dig a Little Deeper" sequence, where the guests are now small, as she can be seen as huge while she is playing her trumpet made out of a flower.

She is seen one last time in the "Special Spice" final sequence, where she can be seen playing her trumpet with other members of the Afro-Cuban Musicians on the front floor of Fleur du Bayou, as Tiana and Naveen are hosting the Mardi Gras party.
