Kirsten Caroline Dunst is an American actress, singer, and model. For Disney, she played Anna Petterson in the 1997 Disney made-for-TV supernatural thriller film Tower of Terror, Verena von Stefan in the 1998 Miramax film All I Wanna Do, Nicole Oakley in the 2001 Touchstone Pictures film Crazy/Beautiful, Lisa's Daughter in New York Stories (her acting debut), and voiced Kiki in the Disney English dub of Kiki's Delivery Service. She was also mentioned in the Lizzie McGuire episode "Picture Day".
Born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Dunst moved to Los Angeles with her mother who pushed her into acting following the latter's divorce. Dunst said, "Well, it's not a natural way to grow up, but it's the way I grew up and I wouldn't change it. I have my stuff to work out... I don't think anybody can sit around and say, 'My life is more screwed up than yours.' Everybody has their issues". Dunst had acted in commercials, television, and film by this point, but her breakthrough came with 1994's Interview with the Vampire as Claudia where she earned acclaim and accolades. Since then, she became known for her film roles as Judy Shepherd in the 1995 fantasy adventure film Jumanji, Christy Fimple in the 1998 action film Small Soldiers, Torrance Shipman in the Bring it On film franchise, and Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy.
Her other film credits include Little Women (1994), Anastasia (1997), The Virgin Suicides, Mona Lisa Smile, Wimbledon, Marie Antoinette, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Hidden Figures, The Power of the Dog, and Civil War. In television, Dunst appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Touched by an Angel, ER, The Outer Limits, Fargo, and On Becoming a God in Central Florida.
